In 1979, the Coronado was added to the National Register of Historic Places. At the dedication ceremony, it was referred to as one of the premiere theaters of its kind in the nation. In 1980, the City of Rockford made the Coronado an historical landmark of the state of Illinois.

it is more exciting "in season" (May - October), but from late Oct. to early May Boring!

we have a boat and we often take it to different towns. we just dock the boat at the restaurant and eat or shop. it's kinda cool. they have awesome fireworks ovcer the lake. the do them on different days around the lake so there are various opportunities to see them.
