Does anyone know if pro mma still holds these events where the overall winner would have to win 3 fights in the same night to be victorious,These used to be the norm but now its all one off fights.I think Gracie and Shamrock started it off in UFC 5,but i could be wrong.

yes indeed they still do have them! i think one of them just occured in russia! they usually have them outside the states in smaller shows! -
Multiple fights in one night was put to a stop in the US by the athletic commisions. Pride will do 2 fights in a night for their tournaments.Comment

I remember there was always big letdowns,with fighters dropping out due to injury.Comment

its just pointless in some cases....thiers always injuries and theirs fighters wh dont have the balls to do it ( such as paulo filho)Comment
