something wrong with the thread
Oasis_Lad 02-16-2007, 01:17 PM Not the greatest imo but i have loved him ever since the 94 world cup in usa.I also think it was shocking the way the italian public turned on him after his penalty miss against brazil in the final and completely forgot that he alone did more than any other player to get them there in the first place.
Oh and he is always a substitute in my all time top team lists.

the problem that he got some haters he is better than Del Pero and he is the best in Italy for sure.
see this vid he has this trick pass, slow motion falling ball and the last of the HL see that goal it ****ing amazing no comment on it. the cool came in a very very hard angle and he is in kicking a corner probably the best corner kick a ever seen in my life.
as for the 94 WC alway some people dont stand by side for example Backham in i think it was the 98 WC and in boxing Durans 2nd SRL fight. people alway stay with the winner once you lost the forget you and you nothing to them that is the sad story of human being we are very savage in these stuff
Who has the better poiny tail him or Tszyu? :D
Oasis_Lad 02-16-2007, 01:44 PM Baggio had the greatest ponytail of all time.
eazy_mas 02-16-2007, 01:47 PM true very ture i think he is also abit underrated too from skills and stuff.

Of all time ? my own personal favourite would probably be Marco van basten. As for the best european player of all time.........then, the top 3 are probably:
1. beckenbauer
2. cruyff
3. platini
Just my opinion though.

Van Basten or Gullite ?
i prefer Gulite but he got some attiude problem when he was in Milan
MickyHatton 02-16-2007, 02:00 PM Baggio was a great player, no doubt.
I wouldn't rate him in the top ten best European footballers of all time though!
For me:
Zidane
Best
Beckenbauer
Dalglish
Cruyff
Platini
Gullit
Van Basten
Maldini
Matthaus
eazy_mas 02-16-2007, 02:05 PM mostly based on opoins :D
but i think he was what he wanted he will do that made some complecation.
but as far as greatness the guy been preforming for the last 20 years of his career.
even at 34 or somethin with Benfica he still performe but guys like Ronaldo his is likly to finish up and Ronaldino will likly someone will break his leg he looks like have a weak legs or so so i might expect him to get injuried somehow
usually even a good team plays a role some of these guy had really good guy around them
but as far as enterianment Baggio is all for it
PATO 1 02-16-2007, 02:08 PM great player
we always used to play his free kick games in school
The Raging Bull 02-16-2007, 04:56 PM Great player, probably Italy's best ever. But not Europes best.
Ahead of him are:
Matthaus
Beckenbaur
Dalglish
Zidane
Platini
Cruyff
Lineker
Etc.

Gascoigne was also sublime for lazio and rangers.

If he wasnt injured so much for lazio he would've been an absolute ****in legend...not that he aint already mind but he would've been even more of a legend.

I remember watching the italian footy on channel 4 and every week they'd have that little english geezer who presented it interviewing gazza about how he was progressing and how long it'd take him to get back to fitness and in the team.

I miss football italia, especially from when the serie a was the best league in the world............which was the late 80's through to the early 90's.

Gullit, Van Basten, Baggio and the like all in there prime. Those were the days.

His Career ended at Wembley in 91 with that stupid tackle on Gary Charles. (i was there)
The tackle should never have happened cos Gazza should have been sent off for a Crazy Challenge on Parker ( nearly took his head off ).
If Ref had given him red card his career may have been so different.
Rough Justice I surpose.
Awesome Player Though.

I still cant see youtubes but if that goal is the one where he ran the length of the pitch beating 4 or 5 players then scored then i remember it...****ing great goal.
Dalian Atkinson scored a similar goal for the villa against wimbledon.

That is true. Although he did have a good spell at rangers he never reached the heights that he should have done.
Both Garry Parker and Gary Charles (the pisshead) went on to play for the mighty Aston Villa after that.
Parker was a decent player.

George Weah was played in the UAE at the end of his years in al-Jazera club but never really did anything there.
