Ate Breakfast--- a nutra grain bar and a peanutbutter sandwich

Jumped rope- five 3min. rounds with 1 min. inbetween rounds

Did 75 jabs
75 crosses
75 hooks- right hand
75 hooks- left hand
75 hooks- right hand
75 uppercuts- left hand
75 uppercuts- right hand
75 front kicks- front leg
75 front kicks- back leg
75 flip kicks
75 roundhouse kicks
75 elbows- right hand
75 elbows- left hand
75 knees- left leg
75 knees- right leg

Then- three 5 min. rounds on the double end ball with 1 min. rest inbetween rounds

Then I did
75 pushups
100 squats
100 crunches
50 leg raises

then I did four 3 min. rounds on the heavybag with a minute rest inbetween rounds

Then i practiced my takedowns for half an hour

Then i lifted wieghts for a half hour

I taught the beginners kid class today and then helped out with the advanced kids class

Then i got into my class

First class we did a short workout, then we practiced our breakfalls. we practiced open guard and had someone try to come in on us. then we practiced a takedown off a front kick.
Second class we grappled for an hour and a half
I worked with a black belt instructor
I did well against him
It was a good class

30 mins staright on the muy thai pads (wanted to do more but had to stop due to bloody nose)
took a 5 min break
three 5 min. round on the double end bag with a 45 sec rest inbetween
two 5 min. rounds of the heavy bag with a min inbetween rounds
then i did (on the bag)

I used the bags in this sequence

then i ran for 3 mins.
after the run i did

then i did 15 mins. stretching

Went to my MA school and helped teach thre diff. kids classes

Had my class
First class we started off with a light work out
we did like 15 mins of shrimping and swimming
Then we did a lil breakfalling
After we worked an escape from a headlock

Second class
Light work out
We worked the escape from a headlock and when we took them down we would mount them and then they would have to get them off and then we would go to the guard and escape the guard and mount again. We worked this for a while.
Then after we grappled
I went up against a 3rd degree brown belt, i did really well, he couldnt tap me,We went for like 30 mins. I am extremely good at working position and getting out of and avoiding submissions, but applying them is my weak point
Then i went against
a guy who is the same rank as me, this guy is 6'4" 240 lbs and he is solid, he is a ****ing monster. We rolled around i had him going good, i was making him get tired and work for anything he did, he tried for all types of subs, I slipped right out, we stopped after like 15 mins after I accidently kicked him in tthe head
Me and him grappled again we went for about ten minutes, it was a fairly even match, but when i had him in my half guard he managed to roll me over a lil and get his hand behind my neck and soon the other slipped by my throat and he choked me out
After that I grappled with my lead instructor, this man is just amazing, he just basically *****ed me, but unlike the other times i have grappled with him I am seeing all the different little things he does, after me tapping many times, he complemented me and told me i am doing well and he likes that i stay perfectly calm when grappling

I am ****ing shot tonight every thing in every class was demonstarated on me tonight, I was getting hit, swept, thrown, and subbed alot. And he wasnt going easy. I am all bruised and ****, but ill be back up and training tommorow.

Last night went to MA
helped teach two kids class
In my first class I worked the double end ball and the muy thai bag cuz i couldnt work on the thai pads with the rest of the guys because of my elbow
second class we practiced different knife strikes
third class we knife sparred, I did good

romanian dead lifts if i remember right basically put weights on a bar at your feet grab it and do squats like that.

i havent done any conventiol training the past few days but im still getting a good work out
Saturday I helped my instructor move, so i was moving and lifting all types of heavy **** for like 9-10 hours
Sunday and Monday shoveling snow for hoursand some squats and crunches

Went MA class yesterday
I went in early and taught 4 kids classes
After i had my classes which we did a bag circuit switching one round on the bags and one round runnung
then we did a few rounds with the muy thai pads and a few rounds with the kicking shields
the second class we did a knife drill and then did some knife sparring

Felt good tonight went to MA class did a good hou and a half workout. Tonight was the first time I did 1000 crunches.
After class I grappled with one of my instructors fr about half an hour. I managed to tap him once i was good. My instructors are gonna help me alot wth my training for grapples edge. I feel I can win this.

inverted leg crunches- ur ass is on the floor, arms behind u holding ur body up, and legs off the ground, bring legs to chest and push out- make sure to keep legs closed

squat kicks- regular squats except on ur way up throw a front kick- switch legs everytime

shrimping is a basic jui-jitsu move
u bridge ur back roll ove tor a shoulder and shoot out ur butt and push foward with ur hands.
Can be used to escape various positons or a safe way to gain some distance from ur opponent.
Do it for a while and youll get a god workout

shrimping is a basic jui-jitsu move
u bridge ur back roll ove tor a shoulder and shoot out ur butt and push foward with ur hands.
Can be used to escape various positons or a safe way to gain some distance from ur opponent.
Do it for a while and youll get a god workout

inverted leg crunches- ur ass is on the floor, arms behind u holding ur body up, and legs off the ground, bring legs to chest and push out- make sure to keep legs closed

I fought in two matches
I controlled both matches, was never put in a bad spot, and came close to subbing both of them
but i lost both matches

Gay ass points
They only got points by passing my guard which when they did i got them back in in under 10 seconds
God damn points
**** pisses me off
in one match i had the guy locked in a guillotine, and bam we ran out of time, all I needed was 5 seconds

only 4 minute matches, and the points were all bull****

I need to find something else to compete in, cant wait to get into mma - when im ready for it ill do some damage

I'm gonna try to find a place to do some amateur boxing or kickboxing
and I may do NAGA in June

I have a pulled groin, so i have got to take it easy until im all healed up. After that im gonna train like an animal.

I am going to fight in a stick fighting tournament which will probably be hels around the end of summer or early fall.

I just watched my matches on tape and the referees were definetley sady, because in the first match i watched it over and over again and no points were scored, but yethe got 4 points, and n the second match the guy got 6 points for getting me in side control, yet side control counts for 0 points, such bul****,
But i love watching them try so hard and struggle troug whole match, while im calm as all hell, I controlled both matches, Grapplers Edge was a crock of bull****.

Im joining the gym for a month today, so for the next month I'm gonna be lifting wieghts 5 days a week and doing 2 MA classes on Monday, 2 classes on tuesdays, 2 classes on Thursdays, and 1 class every other staurday. And i may start working out on my own at my MA school

Felt really good yesterday

I taught 2 kids classes by myself
then assisted with another kids class

Then I had my first class
We did a short workout
then we sparred
I went up against my head instructor
He is like 6' 2" and 200 lbs.
Imjust below 140 lbs.
This man is just rediculous - he's scary
I went against him for like 8 to 10 mins mins.
That was a long time for me
He just beat the hell out of me, but I never stopped coming at him
Then I went aginst a black belt instructor
I did really well - I got off some good shots and I defended myself alot better than I expected
Then I had my second class
We did a really good workout
We did some shrimping and swimming
We worked with the focus pads

I felt really good like I used to feel
But I got knocked up a little, so I need to rest up cause i messed up my knee and my thai is destroyed from all the kicks I took

And Pedro is going to be one of the top MMA fighters soon

The test was not as hard as I expected, but it was still a rough test

I feel pretty good on the ground - I will still be working my ground game - I feel good as to where i can keep a ground fighter standing and I could get up quickly if taken dow and can defend myself on the ground

I am going to also be training alot with Jay Frankovich for the Reality Fighting PPV

I am trying to get my instructor to start a fight team - we may get a few mma fighters to start training at my place.

I have been training regularly everyday - I hope to be ready to start amateur kickboxing in 6-9 months

Today I will be getting my ass kicked by my instructor and his instructor all day today
My instructors instructor is showing my instructor the oomplata - he trains with pedro brandou regularly and that is his specialty, and he is a master grappler so I will be getting my ass kicked today for a few hours

Tonight I get to test the adults - ahahahahahahahah *evil laugh*

Working out alot with the resistance bands - I will be teaching a resistance band class once a week starting in January

God damn flu
I can not train, workout, work, or teach
I feel like ****
I hope I am better in a few days
Then i will start working out for about 5 hours a day 6 days a week for the next 4-5 weeks

I am pretty sure I will compete in the grapplers quest tournament in February and possibly naga in March

Taught the adult class tonight - focused on knees and elbows
Class was about an hour and then did 20 mins. bag rounds

I am still somewhat sick - I hope to start seriously training again on Wednesday

I had to stop after 5 becasue i can not stop coughing

and then worked some different things for about an hour or more

worked a little bit on my forms
did about 30 mins working grappling basics

My instructor showed me, talked about, and used in practical application - pressure points and different locks

Talked a little bit about meditation which I will start doing often

2 min. rounds w/ a 30 sec break

5 bag rounds
1 round - swimming
1 round - shrimping
1 round - running
1 round - working footwork
1 round - on the wing chun dummy

I am starting to train like a mad man.
I am getting ready to kickbox when the summer comes
I figure i will start kickboxing over the summer and continue to kickbox for another year, while doing an occasional grappling tournament and then try getting into MMA.

Have not posted in my journal for a while -

I am starting to work out really hard again - I feel good.
Working alot of conditiong - starting to lift weights using free weights - Martial arts on Monday , Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Soon i will be working out with my instructor every day, once he switches jobs.

My instructor started training with Mike Swain, Olympic Judo champ/the mat guy. He is going to start training with Joe Louis, one of the best kickboxers ever, and he's going to start training with Kali guys who are phenomenal with knivefighting. He will get some new great stuff.

I don't know if I still want to compete. Right now I am staying focused on Self Defense.
