Pea was just too defensively skilled for Meldrick, and I see him winning a close decision.

It would have been interesting how Whitaker handled the speed though, as Taylor would easily be the fastest opponent he had ever faced.

The Punchstat guys would have blacked out by the third round.

Pernell is too good for Meldrick to beat.Pernell by landslide unanimous decision. However, real interesting to see who was faster.

Taylor was good, but Whitiker was great.

I have a hard time picking anyone over a prime 100% Whitiker

Whitaker by clear UD.

I would have loved to see Pryor/Whitaker at 140. That would have been a hell of a fight.

Whoever picked Taylor by KO or stoppage should be banned from this board. They better give a good logical reason for that vote. Whitaker was never stopped in his career unless you count that last fight when he came back all drugged out and he broke his shoulder or something. Taylor did stand a chance at outworking that crackhead, but not Koing him. Trinidad and de la Joya who are twice his size and a lot harder punchers couldn't do it. Taylor damn sure wouldn't

I would more like to see Whittaker vs. Mayweather Jr.

Sweet Pea was a master of defense and would frustrate Taylor but I don't think he would KO Taylor. Pernell by UD.
