In R.E (religious education) we have been taught that they carry a small dagger in their turban.

I go to a Catholic school so R.E is compulsory; and I wasn't joking or lying.

Devout Sikh men wear the kirpan (a traditional small sword) as part of their religious faith. The kirpan is one of five symbols of Sikhism.

kash dont wear a turban anyway so he would have no where to hide it, unless it was in his shorts but that could be kind of uncomfortable. Anyway i saw him ko a really poor eastern european fighter on sky a little while ago, looks like a real prospect.

would be interesting to see him fight amir khan in the future if his career goes somewhere. That would get alot more indians/pakis into the sport.

LOL, you obviously don't know anything about Sikhism.

Not ALL Sikhs carry 'small daggers'. Only devout Sikhs carry them. They are called 'Kirpan' and are NOT to be used as a weapon. Sikhs in the past (300+ years ago when Sikhism was still a very young religion) underwent a lot of persecution from the Muslim and Hindu rulers in India. In order to defend their beliefs they fought back. The Kirpan symbolises bravery and the willingness to defend the weak and innocent.

They are not to be used offensively, only defensively. If a Kirpan is unsheathed, it must be used, it's not in the least bit ceremonial or for show.

Sikhs cant cut their hair and must always wear a turban.

Must really make their hair itchy. Yuck!

Wearing a turban as part of your religion is so stupid. So you are gonna burn in hellfire or are not a true Sikh if you dont wear a stupid towel around the head. How anyone in this day and age can believe in such bull**** is beyond comprehension.

I understand Bhattia has his first fight since being beaten this week. I was told that when I went to the Pea**** gym where he used to train. Since losing he changed his trainer and changed gym but I understands still fights with Maloney.

Racist. Go join the BNP.

Sikh's don't HAVE to wear a turban, they choose to. Not all do anyway, only devout ones. And their hair is probably cleaner than yours, they wash and comb theirs twice daily.

Sikhs don't believe in hell.

You've been reported. I hope you get banned and lose all those points, rep etc you've accumulated.

Bigot. You're a disgrace to our country.

the world just wouldn't be fun without ignorant ppl. thanks man :).

but Akaash Bhatia, he's a cool dude, sikh (like me), and he's really approachable. i think he has a good future in front of him. his style is pretty flashy and cool, although i dont think he on the level of Amir Khan yet, at all!

we have the other olympic guy in India, Vijender Singh, but he never went pro. he's gone into Bollywood and shows and crap like that.. oh boy...

i hope there'll be more good Indian and Pakistani fighters coming up. gonna be fun, show the global nature of boxing.

if i remember correctly, it has to do with subduing a persons' sexual desires.

Christians are supposed to eat the body of Christ with the little wafer and drink his blood with the sip of wine. if u don't know what it means, it looks very strange! it's all symbolisms with meanings.

here (http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Kachera)if u wanna read on it, give it a chance.

and also in sikhism, we have ppl that interpret religion in different ways. u can't judge like that bro. that's my opinion

yeah , an olympic medallist should be raking in the cash turning pro , he'd probably have a big indian fanbase given he was the first boxer to win a medal from there . Although if he feels the bollywood film scene is where he feels comfortable then the best of luck to him :lol1:
