"With Mori****a gone and Sakakibara now refocusing the priorities of PRIDE, expect changes regarding financial payouts to staff members along with fighters. A restructuring of finances will be a big key, but without Mori****a's connections with advertisers and sponsors, Sakakibara faces the task of finding new employees who do an equivalent or better job than Mori****a did. There were calls for Nobuhiko Takada to take over the top management job (Mori****a's slot) in PRIDE. However, both Takada and Kazushi Sakuraba would only publicly go as far to say that they supported PRIDE and would continue to support the company in the future. Takada was considered by Mori****a to be a future matchmaker for the company, but Sakakibara is the main boss in PRIDE and he has had major influence with the company's direction. He will continue to do so." From www.purorespower.com

I dunno, PRIDE already seemed on shaky ground before this happened, so who knows what is going to happen.

It seems odd that Takada, a guy with the most "worked" bouts in Pride's history, will now be calling shots. I have mixed feelings over that. However, I am willing to see how things pan out before I start bashing on the organization.

As long as Pride still puts out the fights, I will watch them. I will continue to support them.

I don't think much will change with the content of the shows...at least I hope not. They still have the fighters that draw a crowd and the potential to bring more in, hopefully they don't lose too much direction with the sudden changes
