my left hook is quick, powerful and comes out of nowhere, so thats a lot of times the money punch on the inside.

my straight right is really hard too, but my power's at the end of that punch.

you know what? i like every punch i throw.

I always loved the left hook to the body. When it lands strong hes yours for atleast the next 5-10 seconds................Rockin':boxing:

I am a right handed southpaw counter puncher.

I always intimidated all my opp. and sparring partner with my jab.

and my favorite is weaving right hook.I specially look for jabs (from an orthodox fighter)as it hits them on the outside of the head or body.

for me i have no clue what i like the most. I have this 1 right hook punch that might be my money shot but i have tried it on ne 1 yet.but it rattles the whole bag alot more then my left hook

Quick parry, to the outside, and left hook to the body. Turn that liver into soup.

The hook I use n that case is maybe also like a hybrid uppercut. hard to explain, but I'm sure you guys know what I mean.

What about us southpaws!!?? You don't have a straight left as a poll option!!! That would definately be my most damaging punch.

Overall though, the most important punch for me is my jab, but in terms of doing damage it is the straight left.

i chose my lead uppercut (right uppercut, since i'm a southpaw). i get mean leverage on it, besides my straight left, it's the only punch i can honestly say i can properly put my whole body into, from the toes on up.

My right hook is my most powerful punch and is pretty fast too.

Left hook, but thrown the way I throw it, its not really orthodox.

Or straight right also thrown the way I throw it. A little technique I learnt/was taught pays off well for it in sparring. Always takes their head clean off their shoulders.

But I have stopped and dropped people with the left hook, so that one is my strongest.

Hey Exige, how did your fight go a while back? (the one you were supposed to fight the day after all the stuff about missing the bus, not getting your boots, etc.)

P.S. Left hook to the liver :boxing:

Went really well, to summarise it, I was pleased with the performance and disappointed with the result. I lost it but I wont take anything away from the boy I boxed, he did enough to win in my eyes, the result was fair. Actually that was the strangest feeling of my life that day... losing and feeling just as good as winning. I think it was the response I got from the crowd and the amount of people coming up to me after the fight to tell me how well I boxed and so on... the other kid won but I saw nobody go over to congratulate him. It was like I was the crowd favourite.

I have been looking to put it up on YouTube but its on a VHS and the only way to get it over is to get a video capture card. I lost my job recently which doesnt help, because my contract ended and wasnt renewed... so yeah thats whats up now. If I find some other way of getting it from video to computer i'll have it up soon...

Oh yeah and the other thing about it was that I learnt a lot from it. Aside from the fact that I travelled all the way around London the same day of the fight from about 9 in the morning to 4 or 5 in the day and then fought at about 9pm, which tired me out, I learnt a lot and the experience is always invaluable. I will win come my next fight, in March, at one division down. :)

That was your first fight, right?

You're right, losing often teaches you more than winning. One of my new guys, who is really talented, also lost his first fight. The other guy wasn't better, just a little taller, which my guy couldn't find a way to deal with in his inexperience. When you're inexperienced, you can lose fights you'll win down the line.

Switch up & throw the overhand right from an orthodox stance. Baby go BOOM!

It's the left hook to the body. I've been perfecting this shot for years, and not I don't even need to throw it hard to make it work. Just turn my hip calmly and it's pretty mean. It's like a 3/4 hook uppercut, perfect for turning over for a hook up top. I've been working on my right and a lot, I used to have a ty one but I've made it a pretty decent shot. I'm working on getting my uppercut into top form, but it's hard cuz I can't throw it at a bag.

hOT CHICK in your avatar. You wanna know how to throw the left hook to the body. What you do is you bend your left knee and hip to the left, then throw a left hook, turning your left hip up and digging it in.

i love my straight right its not the most powerful but its very quick and sneaky because i switch from jab straight right combo to lead rights, so far its been pretty effective but id like to develop a sharp powerful overhand right

All it requires is a slight variation on the angle that you throw it at. You wouldnt throw it at the bag like you would throw it at another human, for example. When you are in sparring you are looking to dig it under their chin so it has to come up almost vertical. On the bag you go at it at a 45 degree angle so you dont damage your hand.

I dont box anymore, but i have had numerous occasions where i totally destroy someones nose with my straight right. I set them up with jabs and then BAM. id say my jab is like my semi-auto, and my straight is like my shotgun.

....donkey punch.....

actually it's my southpaw right hook and my southie straight left to the body. I don't feel like i've got a lot of one punch power. any damage i've done in the past has been cumulative, aside from dropping one guy with a straight left to the body.

We have uppercut bags that I think are homemade; they look like a heavy bag with the stuffing taken out of the bottom and then duct-taped tight, so they're shaped like upside-down champagne bottles. You can drive a heavy uppercut into the curve, which is just below chin level for me.

As an infighter, I love -- and fear -- uppercuts. My gym doesn't emphasize them, and it's a pity. I try to put in some time on the uppercut bags every day I'm at the gym, because I've been clocked with them before, and I firmly believe a good uppercut could be a potential fight-ender.

i spend three rounds on the uppercut bags everytime i go to the gym. i ****in love hittin those things so hard that they bounce up in the air and drop back down all loud-like.
