VERSATILE2K12 02-04-2007, 06:13 PM cause hes from the south. go to other websites and they will praise him for what he was.GOOD. every1 knows this is a pro e.coast website mic573 02-04-2007, 06:13 PM Master P had some nice tracks every once and awhile but I was never a big fan of his. Ghetto D was his best album in my opinion. His older albums are 10x better than his newer albums. neils7147933 02-04-2007, 06:40 PM I think Master P is the most underrated rapper of all time. Ive been picking up lots of his CD's from the mid 90's. He told the truth and he could rock some flows. It's sad that he's forgotten by most in todays hip hop community. His music was good and he didnt just rap about BS. To sum it up, Master P was "real". So anyone else feelin Master P? Master P, and much of the No Limit catalog, was like a bunch of Pac B-sides. They even ripped off a number of phrases/song titles/themes directly from Pac songs... I like a number of their singles, but I don't get them confused with the greats... -Antonio- 02-04-2007, 09:24 PM I always thought Master P was horrible. Silk da Shocker was better and he wasnt really good either. I liked a couple No Limit tracks though. VERSATILE2K12 02-04-2007, 09:27 PM I always thought Master P was horrible. Silk da Shocker was better and he wasnt really good either. I liked a couple No Limit tracks though. oh god. u thought silkk the shocker was better.ahahaha jspivey 02-04-2007, 10:26 PM Master P is often over looked even though he is one of the most successful rappers in the game. Even though he did milk the Pac image kind of hard he still put good solid albums: Mama's Bad Boy, 99 Ways To Die, The Ghettos Tryin To Kill Me, Ghetto D the TRU albums. And thats just P cataloge. The whole No Limit. Even though I hate Silk, even he had a few songs I liked. Darkstar 02-04-2007, 11:14 PM Ghetto D got a lot of play around here. MMMAKE EM SAY UHH!! Ghetto D was underrated forsure. j 02-05-2007, 02:03 AM master p is one of the worst rappers ever. **** anyone saying otherwise. being real doesn't make you a good rapper. his skills were 3rd grade at best. jspivey 02-05-2007, 02:24 AM master p is one of the worst rappers ever. **** anyone saying otherwise. being real doesn't make you a good rapper. his skills were 3rd grade at best. Lot a rappers who didn't have complex rhymes were still nice rappers. Snoop, M.O.P., Scarface, UGK, 2pac, Ice Cube. Master P is no Nas or Rakim as far as lyrical skill but that didn't mean he wasn't worth listening to. Ever heard "Livin' That Life" off the True album? j 02-05-2007, 05:31 AM complex rhymes or not. i don't care. complex rhymes aren't everything. his **** sucks. and has sucked. i heard his **** the very day his first album dropped. :blackeye: for rap - as if it wasn't going downhill fast enough. neils7147933 02-05-2007, 08:22 AM master p is one of the worst rappers ever. **** anyone saying otherwise. being real doesn't make you a good rapper. his skills were 3rd grade at best. He wasn't all that real anyway. Remember his movie I'm Bout It - based on a true story it said - and then it rips off the Scarface chainsaw scene... Darkstar 02-05-2007, 08:49 AM master p is one of the worst rappers ever. **** anyone saying otherwise. being real doesn't make you a good rapper. his skills were 3rd grade at best. LOL. Being real doesnt make you good? I guess fake is cool to you. 3rd grade skills huh? This coming from a person who thinks luda is great:nonono: Greatest_D 02-05-2007, 08:54 AM Master P? Meh. MetalVomit 02-05-2007, 11:34 AM every1 knows this is a pro e.coast website Master P had some decent work. A lot of the earlier No Limit **** was nice. I had a bunch of it. He's been horribly wack for a while now. They tried to put out too much, too fast. ROSEWOOD 02-05-2007, 02:36 PM I think Master P is the most underrated rapper of all time. His music was good and he didnt just rap about BS. To sum it up, Master P was "real". So anyone else feelin Master P? No Limit was killing every label out there in the late 90's...people can talk that **** about P but that dude got him paper on....Over 1 million artist and they all go Plat. because they all feature on each others CD..no I mean tape...Hell he even invented the flashy cd & tape covers... ROSEWOOD 02-05-2007, 02:40 PM master p is one of the worst rappers ever. **** anyone saying otherwise. being real doesn't make you a good rapper. his skills were 3rd grade at best. I saying otherwise and if its **** me then its **** you too...plat. after plat. album...he had to be doing something right....Ghetto Dope....harder than most cd's out today.. Kobe Bryant 02-05-2007, 03:25 PM Master P accomplished a lot with No Limit. They wereike the first huge label in the South that sold. They made it possible for these new south artist to come out and have a market to target towards. His albums were good in my opinion. He started doing his own movies which influenced others as well such as State Property and Killa Season. So he gets props from me I had one of Silk's albums and a few of his other artist. P wasn't that complex but so what. I don't let that effect what I listen to if it sounds good I can't tell myself oh this **** is wack because he didn't blow my mind away with a deep phor. I don't listen to P and expect him to spit some Nas ****. If someone comes out with crazy lyrics I'm gonna give him props, but if it's not up to par with another artist I'm not going to bash them. Texasboy34 02-05-2007, 03:36 PM I saying otherwise and if its **** me then its **** you too...plat. after plat. album...he had to be doing something right....Ghetto Dope....harder than most cd's out today.. Yup.. and then he sold the **** out. Made a ****ing doll that goes "ughh"... and pimped his son out to Nickelodeon! Lets not forget "Dancing with the Stars"... I'm sorry but P sold out, and thats why he fell off. Had he stuck with his Ghetto D (and anything before it) formula he would probably have gone down as one of the best ever. Now his legacy is "has been"... ROSEWOOD 02-05-2007, 04:58 PM Yup.. and then he sold the **** out. Made a ****ing doll that goes "ughh"... and pimped his son out to Nickelodeon! Sold out...Playa thats the Ghetto Bill Gates...He is a pure business man..while them cats out here spending on cars, chain, etc...your boy is opening business and so on....P is still a six figure millionaire...how many can say that...very few..But I feel you on the Ghetto Dope tip...that record was it...Burbans and Lacs....man.. neils7147933 02-05-2007, 07:12 PM Sold out...Playa thats the Ghetto Bill Gates...He is a pure business man..while them cats out here spending on cars, chain, etc...your boy is opening business and so on....P is still a six figure millionaire...how many can say that...very few..But I feel you on the Ghetto Dope tip...that record was it...Burbans and Lacs....man.. Eventually people got sick of picking up No Limit discs with one or two good songs and fifteen tracks that should have been left off, or at least had more time spent on. But he was putting out like 2,3 discs a month on that label. Yeah - I think there was the MC Hammer doll, then the Vanilla Ice doll, then the Master P doll in the hip-hop "Barbie" timeline P actually used to be worth nine figures - he was on the Forbes list of top 40 richest under 40 Didn't his No Limit REcord go bankrupt, though? That's why he has "The New No Limit" -Antonio- 02-06-2007, 01:30 AM oh god. u thought silkk the shocker was better.ahahaha Are you serious? Master P was awful..Silk the Shocker was just bad. Sir_Jose 02-06-2007, 02:55 AM No Limit was sick back in the day mid-late 90's once Ghetto D came out it was all down hill and he went from gangster to pop **** and went for the mainstream. No Limit is the single greatest rise and fall in the history of Hip Hop, hell American bussiness for that matter. They grew from a tiny mom and pop shop in Richmond california to a 160 Million dollar record company putting out platnium albums every month. They put out there own movie "Bout It" that was so succsessful it got them there own movie deal. Then it all went to hell they got rid of Beats By The Pound, P and King George split up and all there artist started getting locked up C-Murder, MAC, Kane and Able, Mystikal are all doing serious time. **** loads of lawsuits. while this was going on P sold out like nobody else in the history of Hip Hop, The doll which was just beyond lame, His pro wrestling stint putting his son doing pop **** and No Limit did declare bankruptcy really amazing ROSEWOOD 02-06-2007, 11:00 AM Eventually people got sick of picking up No Limit discs with one or two good songs and fifteen tracks that should have been left off, or at least had more time spent on. Hes rated how he should be rated. A country rap mogul who put out some good singles and was a hero to a small region of the country for a short time. Thats it. He is not an all time skilled MC by any stretch of the imagination. Luda is lyrically one of the top ten artist in the game today...you don't have to like him but one must respect his skill....And you are right, music is not what it once was...But on the other hand it has expanded...We have more artist out theer...to be about to put a verse together is pure are..poetry at its best...I can't do it so i respect anyone who can.. Hydro 02-07-2007, 05:03 PM he was alright in his richmond days, and up to the ghetto d album. never a great or even that good of an mc, but decent and made some enjoyable music. after ghetto d, he sucked.
