I'm at a loss as to how the "-150" or "+200" type betting scale works as well. Maybe a veteran gambler will stumble past this and enlighten us both. Good topic.

i think how the -150 and +200 works is like

mir -150 = favorite, whoever has the - is the fav
abbott +200 = underdog, whoever has the + is underdog

if you put 150 on mir, you would win $100
if you put 200 on abbott, you would win 200

www.bet365.com is a good place for UFC

and i just used those as examples, i dont know what the exact odds are on mir vs abbott

and also, sometimes you will have

draw +500

which means, if you bet $100, and the fight is a draw.. for everytime 100 you bet, you get 500 back. so if you bet 200 and the fight is a draw, you get 1000.

Thanks for the help Cesaro. But, could you please explain the reasoning of this. I don't understand why that Mir betting makes sense.

Why would you get $100 for betting $150 when he is "-150?"

well, he's the favorite.. so its less of a risk of losing your own money. but the actual reasoning behind it the way they have it setup, -150 i don't know.

real odds have tank abbott as the favorite though and mir the underdog.

All that vegas stuff I dont deal with, ill do bets with friends on who will win, straight up, no handicaps. Pick one and if my guy wins, i get the money and vice versa, dont want to risk the major bucks in vegas, i do it with friends more for bragging rights.

We have been trying to get sponsored by a company that offers betting online to UCC, KOTC and UFC, maybe even some other events.
