He's in mine for sure although some do not like his present state he still made a huge impact on the rap game. From his NWA days to his solo career he's a very accomplished rapper. I think he gets overlooked now for doing movies. Think about it he wrote almost the whole Eazy Duz It album wrote Boyz N Da Hood Eazy's biggest hit. Then He dropped 4-5 really dope albums. And helped make West Side Connection first album great. And he was part of NWA one of the most revolutionary hip hop groups ever. Because he has always been outspoken he probably played a major part in creating **** Tha Police, one of the most famous or infamous songs in hip hop history.

1. 2pac
2. Nas
3. Rakim
4. Ice Cube
5. Jay-Z/ Biggie

He's definitely in my top 10, not so sure about top five though.

And Pottle, I can't believe that you think there have been around 20 rappers greater than Ice.

What's your favorite Cube album/ Song??

My favourite Cube album is probably 'AmeriKKKas Most Wanted'. Amazing album and one of the best ever hip hop albums.

My favourite song is 'It Was a Good Day'.

What about you?

Pretty much agree with you. And Once Upon A Time In The Projects love that song. And his newest album was solid in my opinion have you heard/ and what do you think of Laugh Now, Cry Later? I'm really feelin that Child Support from that album.

I liked it even though I felt it was a bit mediocre by Ice Cube's standards.

My favourite songs on it are probably:

Go to church
Growin' up
Why we thugs.

Child support was one of the better songs on the album too.

Is that where he talks about the whole prison system? If so, that's a great song and I'd add that to my list too.

Great recommendation there :fing02:

I was never much of a cube fan. I liked him in NWA and liked a few of his songs. It Was A Good Day is one of my favorite hip hp songs though. He was nice in NWA too. I never got into his albums much. Thats just me.

I second that notion.

Although I never got in to his albums and only vibed off his more well known tracks, I aint gonna argue with someone who lists him in their top lists. He was nice in his prime, but wouldn't make my top 20 moreso for the fact that he wasn't an MC I listened to very often.
