I cant believe Lutter blew his title shot by coming in 1.5 lbs over. Its gonna be his only opportunity for this and he couldnt make weight. Sad

I think that fighters should clean out their system before a fight. they say that we maintain over 5 pounds in our bodies. I hope that stupid fool s.tarted running to lose the weight. I would never pass up a title shot.

well i think the assumtion is that Lutter had already lost a lot of weight, and givin the time he was givin just hit a mental block and couldn't lose more. Either that or he just blew it which makes little sense. And in any case he blew it becuase he had plenty of time. Just think of the money and job security (a belt is as good as it gets in this sport) that he letgo down the drain.

hes a moron for doing that...i still cant believe he didnt make weight! the more i think about it, the more confused and angry i get...i used to talk to lutter thru emails and consider him a good friend! i dont no

i agree, gsp is huge and could do very well at 185. he walks around at 190 but doesnt seem to have a problem losing 15-20#'s before a fight. As for lutter, i think he should have and could have won had he cut the weight correctly. he had more then enough time. i was pissed when i found out and would have been much more pissed had i bought tickets to see the event.
