Im not gonna lie, I didnt even know who these guys were until early last summer when I heard "Life of the Party" I downloaded three of their albums back then and I thought they were all amazing. Chittlin Circuit 1.5 was my favorite. I was using Bear Share back then and somehow I lost all of my songs, and I just got them back yesterday. Anyway, I started listening to them again, and I think they sick.

Does anybody else like them? I heard Smokin' say they were overrated in one thread, and thats the only time Ive seen them discussed in this forum.

I'm down with them I only heard their last album. It's called The Minstrel Show. I though it was a good album and Pooh and Phonte are solid emcees they got that De Las Soul/ Tribe type of vibe.

Theyre on a track on AZ's new album. Never heard them til that. Hot ****, probably my fav track on there along with The Format.

Thats exactly what I was thinking man. In regards to them sounding like De La and Tribe. I like the Minstrel Show a lot too. Their other album I have is The Listening. Very good stuff.

i liked the listening best... didnt care that much for the minstrel show....



9th wonder just left them too..... which was bound to happen... he is off to bigger and better things. if phonte would do the same he could have some real critical success..... big pooh aint that great..... not as bad as people say he is but ....

Been bumping LB since 02...they're dope. But they lack variety, moreso in the production department than anything, as much as I like 9th's production, most of his beats sound strikingly similar to one another, and he always uses the same formula...still bump The Listening to this day tho...


I think 9th leaving was a good look for both parties...9th has already branched out and worked with other artists, and LB could actually use the variety production wise.

Little Brother and AZ that song was nice. 9th Wonder has produced with other artist so him leaving wasn't a surprise. I'm sure they'll still put out good music.
