MetalVomit 10-12-2004, 10:19 PM even seeing this thread pissed me off so of course the answer is no!!!..screw him...we've been over it...he lost respect that night ...god i hate him now..i mean he still had a chance it was disgraceful, but he was completely exhausted and he would have recieved a worse beating, even if i hated him, i wouldnt want to see any man get hurt badly in the ring. he could have went out on his shield though. i still respect him. Fat Shamz 10-12-2004, 10:21 PM If i were in his shoes, id rather save myself before entertaining a few fans for a few minutes... borikua 10-12-2004, 10:26 PM I'm not a freitas fan, but I would still see him fight (for free that is). Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:41 PM http://www.rockandrollbadboy.com/images/janet.190k look at gatti he'e been beat bad before..but when ppl think gatti they think heart and guts ..they dontthink those 6 loses they he has...if frietas would have gone out there and went at it with everything he had..ppl the next day (even if he would have been KTFO) would have been saying look at how much heart he had..and thats what fills seats..gets u fans..and fame...the W is one thing..the excitment ppl see is another...no one wants a fighter that is good but when KD ..quits...he lost fans and big fights...manny has been ko'ed before..and badly but he gets great fight cuz of that heart and excitment he has... no promoter or manager want a guy that quits...when u were still in the fight...dammit atleast quit in the corner..not in mid ring when ur ok and walk back to ur corner with a stupid smile on ur face..that pissed off hella ppl and lost him fans Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:42 PM that j jackson avatar i found Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:42 PM F**k the yankees :D Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:51 PM i think there gonna have a rematch or so frietas said ..he said he was gonna have a tune up fith which he is..i forgot when (its on boxrec)..and then go for the rematch..maybe this time he will be smart and give it is all in the first rounds before corrales takes over in later rounds http://schwillz.com/avatars/napdyna3.gif Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:56 PM found its..its against Yuri Romanov..he 16wins-(11ko's)-1 loss Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:56 PM found its..its against Yuri Romanov..he 16wins-(11ko's)-1 loss http://schwillz.com/avatars/napdyna3.gif Hurlex 10-12-2004, 10:59 PM dammit its like i am talking to myself here...boxingscene is kinda slow tonight huh..probably cuz of the boston/NY game http://img20.exs.cx/img20/986/rickjamesavy.gif Epie2 10-12-2004, 11:32 PM Just like Duran, Freitas can redeem himself with a couple or so remarkable wins against named opponents. Hurlex 10-12-2004, 11:38 PM problem is that frietas doesnt have durans power to do it..but hey the only thing he can do is beat diego..and he can if he has his heart in it we'll see i guess in the rematch .::|ULTIMATE|::. 10-12-2004, 11:40 PM I wouldnt really call it a Duran No Mas session. Freitas was actually getting the beatdown of his life. psychopath 10-13-2004, 12:08 AM Don't hate the guy, if you really like this sports then give the guy a chance to redeem himself . . . I'm no Feitas fans either. He might not have Duran's power or fighting skills or abilities . . . so let's find out how he's going to get out of this slack in his career. Tha Greatest 10-13-2004, 01:05 AM i'm just a corrales fan cuz his from my city  tino 10-13-2004, 02:34 AM If i were in his shoes, id rather save myself before entertaining a few fans for a few minutes... damn right. keepin on was pointless , chico was gonna kill him. it s sport , you are tryin to win not survive. if you cant win , get out with your brain intact , what the point of taking a beatdown from the baddest banger ŕ 135 for entertaining some obese fans ? the fight was cool , power ,knockdowns , movement , what else can you ask ? pinkpanther 10-13-2004, 05:09 AM There are some real idiots on this site, How can you hate the guy for quiting on his stool, he was gone, and he'll have another day to bounce back, if he'd carried on he may have taken a career ending beating - does not make sence. Duran is regarded as a legend, but he quit when not even in that much trouble against Sugar Ray. I can asure you that Duran was no ***** - give Freitas a chance - its his only blemish. jabsRstiff 10-13-2004, 09:12 AM I'll welcome Freitas back, as long as he faces tough fighters. If he goes back to facing the type of opp. he faced in between Casamayor & Corrales....I'll have no interest in him. He was not only facing drab guys, he wasn't even interesting to watch in those fights. He will never, ever beat Corrales. Corrales now OWNS him. abdiel2k3 10-13-2004, 02:21 PM as a champ he shuolg have tryed to survive he was well ahead on cards but he proved that the title just isnt that important to him i like fighters who are willing to take a beating so long as they have a chance if he would have just not gotten up it wouldve been ok if he wouldve stood up and said no more it wouldve been ok but he did they gayest thing ive ever seen a fighter do he waved it off with a gay ass lil hand wave and to make matters worse he pretended like he still wanted and then "ahh ha gotcha" nah id rather not thats what pissed me off i got the feelin he was gonna suck it up take a beating or try to survive and then he just kinda says Nah id rather not abdiel2k3 10-13-2004, 02:26 PM its like when ur with your buddies someone gets dared to do somethin they say ok ok fine then just as theyre about to they say gotcha or fuk that **** i mean this was frietas big fight to prove he was a champ jack_the_rippuh 10-13-2004, 02:38 PM That guy is a Tito-like *****.. El Jesus 10-13-2004, 02:55 PM BTW,Vida can't be any hotter. that ***** is ugly with bags under her eyes, *throws up jabsRstiff 10-13-2004, 02:58 PM That guy is a Tito-like *****.. Tito KO8 Mayorga....& you picked ? Duncan 10-13-2004, 03:01 PM Freitas is a non-entity to me as far as watching boxing. He did the cardinal "no-no." He quit. No matter what excuse he may (or has) give, he is a quitter. When it got hard and it hurt, he laid down. As a fighter, he should fight to the end...go out on the shield to use the cliche. There have been some comments in this line that Freitas shouldn't have put his health at risk for the entertainment of a few fans...To that I say the fans are the ones paying him (indirectly) and if he is worried about getting hurt then maybe he look should for alternate employment....like being a receptionist at a kid's dentist office. To say that he shouldn't have put himself in danger is a comment rooted in idiocy, this is boxing, not golf. Of course he should have risked his health. I have never been able to stand Fernando Vargas- but I respect the fact that he fights till he drops (and he often does drop). Gatti doesn't even need mention... scap 10-13-2004, 03:03 PM Freitas was an animal early in his tv career but after the fourth or fifth round against Casamayor he changed into a boxer and has been **** ever since. Its hard to believe that at one time all of his wins were by knockout, he is a completely different fighter now. As for being a quitter, maybe but I have no problem with what he did, he could have been seriously hurt had he continued, he was out of gas and Corrales had finally gotten radar lock on his face. psychopath 10-13-2004, 05:30 PM There will always be reasons why people or figters do things . . .for him in that instance he might be badly hurt as one of our friend here have just mentioned and maybe he was thinking that he is putting his whole career in jeopardy continuing to fight a lost battle if he doesn't quit. |
