Thers rumors that D.white suggested a fight with jardine for rashad out of pure spite.. Rashad had to refuse twice(this is hte rumor)
It was just recently brought to my attention that jardine and rashad train with one another making it acceptable IMO for both fighters to refuse this fight...
If all is true, it's reasons like these why I specifically DO NOT LIKE dana white.. however if it is false, i'm sure it won't be long before uncle fester gives me another reason to *****...
Pride had the oppertunity to match up shogun vs wanderlei.. shogun publically stated that he would throw the fight(which one ufc fighter should do) and wanderlei said he would not fight shogun... these guys train together they're pretty much like bros.. Even though it would have been THE BIGGGEST fight in MMA HISTORY possibly worth 100's of millions.. pride did not force it on the fighters which I highly respect...
Joe riggs, was trainin MFS before his title shot against hughes and was forced to leave..(he was the new guy.)
Fighting guys from your own camp is unwise and could cause HUGE problems within the camp itself..
Dana would have to be a real douche to even joke about that...
what do you think?? did anybody see this??

I didn't see this, but I do agree they shouldn't have to fight each other. Tito and Rampage are two other who won't fight each other.

I agree, unless they agree.. lol they shouldn't be forced to fight one another, but if they're both up for it, then heck why not?? but seeing as how rashad is intent on not fighting jardine, i dont' believe he should have to.
outofit 01-27-2007, 11:56 AM well, life ain't fair i say. so one guy has to change camps and train specifically for his "bro" from a new camp, i say so be it. UFC more or less just just picks the best fights, unlike the boxing beuoracracy don't throw in anything to hinder that mentallity. All there should be is maybe some kind of bonus for the fighter who is forced to switch camps for the fight. Who is to say a fighter can just cop out of a fight out of friendship, why not just being terrified, or gay or what the hell ever it's just an excuse. this is a BUSINESS not a junior high grudge match!

clearly you have never trained or had commitment to a specific camp...
you just don't understand it's not easy to "just switch camps" and it's IMPOSSIBLE to train 2 fighters under the same roof that are set to fight against one another...
PS that was a louzy shot at sarcasm as well.. keep trying. highschool grudge match?? wtf??
Harms 01-27-2007, 01:57 PM Doesn't matter if the UFC sets the fight up. They still have the option of refusing to fight.
2swell k-wells 01-27-2007, 04:22 PM I agree with outofit, this is a business. I also agree with harms lol, they dont have to fight each other. But if they dont fight and refuse White there can be problems there also. This would be a good fight, a ppv fight and would make lotta money for these 2. If ya ask Rashad and Jardine what they are fighting for, the answer would be MONEY and to be the UFC champ. Its about sacrifice remember and if they fought and winner gets a shot, believe me they would go for it. **** being in the same camp or being bro's, its a business.
robot_monkey 01-27-2007, 05:00 PM I agree with everyone, let's not make any sense and call it a day.

This right here is the problem with TUF.. nobody understands nuttn about the sport.. they think "lets go in beat each other up get paid and call it a day".. thats just fukin retarded.. it's a business?? no it's a fukin sport.. the business is second.. Get a clue then speak.. until then stfu...

........how old are you 12? sure sound like it. Always have something to say to everyone, beating everyone by punching your keyboard, now that is retarded.
outofit 01-27-2007, 09:39 PM so friends can't face each other in a sport? and yes i understand that it is difficult to change camps but if that's what you have to do to advance your career then that is what you have to do. It happens all the time. whether it is just for a change or some other reason. what doesn't change is that you have to change your game plan for every single fight. No I'm not a pro fighter, but at least i have common sense, if its not a business and its only a sport that you couldn't have a CAREER in it. Screw all the buddy buddy crap, and as far as the changing camp thing, a fighters career is one fight at a time if you've got to eat foreign food to make the fight happen then do it. PS. high school grudge match= to see who's tougher and also it's optional vs. professional mma 1. to feed your family 2. to advance the sport 3. to better yourself and your opponent to advance the sport/to improve your career. . .sarcasm is wasted on those with no analytical ability or closed minded individuals so i spelled it out a bit.

so how do you decide who is to go who is to stay?? they are both noob's to the camp. the risk or switchin is greater than the reward.. if you lose you only see half your pay, you lose all your nuthuggers on a single loss and no titl shot.. Ya thers alot to lose...
What is the point of jardine/rashad?? battle of the TUFFERS?? we've seen it many times already.. Give these guys ligitment fighters so they can get stomped on and I can rant about how ****ty they truly are compared to WORLD CLASS fighters and how the UFC is pure propoganda and bull**** by calling em "2of the best"..
I think heard rogan call franca and fisher "the 2 best LW's" he realized what he was saying and QUICKLY changed it to "2 of the best" which still isn't true.. you'd be lucky if either fighter was ranked in top20.
Propoganda and bull****=UFC and you morons buy it, agree with it, defend it and argue it alll becuase the UFC cLAIMS it as true..
good luck to ya in life you dumb gullable ****s.
outofit 01-28-2007, 01:40 PM i do agree that i don't really want to see that fight though. Perhaps ol' Dana White was just putting it out there to test them, you never know its all one big negotiation process. I do get sick of watching all the tuf show guys fighting each other because it just doesn't show off how they have grown as fighters like a ufc veteran would. And really i don't buy into their characters that much. i like a couple of them, but most i could give a crap about. And to continually pit them against each other is just a ploy to sell their character. It is not working on me, all these halfass fights do not make them of the star status of say liddell.
icex48x 01-28-2007, 03:16 PM is there a video of the post confrence out yet?
Atnan 01-28-2007, 11:52 PM this ****ing sucks....i would really like to see both these guys go at it too....i mean you gotta go back to the whole " do you wanna be a ****ing fighter" lol you cant really say much about this...i mean they both helped each other train with prior fights and probably grew a really strong bond with each other, if they fight each other-its gonna suck for both of them and the jackson camp! i say alternative opponents, tito v.s. rashadd and rampage v.s. jardine.....iam almost sure tito and rampage would win, and tito isnt gonna fight rampage nor liddell again, so you got rampage fighting liddell and jardine getting a crack at tito!
an a+ team punishment is unbeatable in my honest opinion

IMO we'll see tito vs liddell a few more times.. Tito is young, liddell is getting old and thers really nobody else to challenge for the belt in the division except rampage depending on performance..
Don't be surprised if liddell/tito goes up to #5.. there only at number 2 and liddell still has a few years left of fighting in him.. you watch we know the UFC don't shy away from rematches after all they let tito fight that bonehead shamrock like 6times now??

thats if tito wants to fight him again....you gotta look at the bigger picture, i mean what if machida wins and lets just say nog joins the ufc within the next 2-3 months ( which is a rumor) and somehow jardine/rashad get past tito...hes got some competition
outofit 01-29-2007, 08:17 PM how long till tito goes to pride to fight? to duck rampage, give up on liddell, and set up a big fight in pride, didn't he beat silva in a decision before? I know he's a huge commodity for ufc but i wish he was further away because he sucks.

duck rampage? huh...decision silva in pride? huh...tito sucks because he lost to the champ? huh....u a soo wrong in so many ways.....just un-install windows....
tito isnt going to pride (no way, ufc needs him/plus he isnt leaving america)...tito has no chance of beating silva by decision ( no matter how the fight goes) and tito doesnt suck, he just lost to the champ!

Tito beat Wanderlai Silva awhile back, not in pride but it dont matter where the fight took place...tito still beat him. Tito and Jackson dont want to fight each other either.
