This might sound very random but if anyone has been to a UFC PPV before can they comment on what its like trying to watch the fight? I know there are giant screens but is it difficult trying to watch the fight through the sides of the octagon?

depends on your seat. I went to UFC 50 and sat in the 2nd deck of seats and could see most of the action just fine

What about shorts? Are the fighters allowed to fight in the same kind of shorts that some boxers do? Like the really long ones with tassles on em?

a lot of guys wear tighter shorts in MMA because they need the flexibility to throw knees

as the other guy said depends on the seat you get.. but no matter where u are, peeping through the fence fukin blows.. like wathcin 2 guys fight under a strobe light, everything seems slow mo..

Also if your eye level with the barrier at the top of the cage, it's gonna suck, if your seated infront of one of the many corners it's gonna suck, the ref is alwasy in the damn way and camera men make better doors than windows..

so lets just hope you have a decent seat..

ive been to a ufc event and its really horrible view...i had the 2nd deck and i moved down to the first level...both ways its horrible view b/c their is huge fat ass camera men on top of the cage recording and the cage is hard to see thru! a ring is soo much better to watch

ive been to ufc 58,60,and 61. i had seats up top, and found it sometimes difficult to see but theres a big screen right there to catch the replays. the best seats at an event are half way up in the 100's section. snuck down and watched hughes pound gracie from there at ufc 60 and the view was great. regardless of where your sitting, its still a good time.

you do have a good time...the people around me had no idea about any of the fighters and i had to tell them about it! lol
