Dream Stage Entertainment president Naota Mori****a announced on 1/8 that Kazushi Sakuraba would fight on 3/16 at PRIDE 25. He also announced that Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira would defend his PRIDE Heavyweight Title against an undetermined opponent.
He also revealed future plans for PRIDE. They will hold PRIDE 26 in Osaka-jo Hall on 5/26. In August in the Tokyo Dome they will hold the "Opening Round" of their second Grand Prix tournament. Then in October, they will hold the "Final" (although that show will probably have the semi-finals and finals). There will be two separate tournaments this time, one for heavyweights and one for middleweights. Each tournament is planned to be an eight-man tournament. Mori****a said that Hidehiko Yoshida will be offered to fight in the Grand Prix. Yoshihiro Takayama will also likely be offered to be in the tournament.
PRIDE 27 is scheduled for some time in November at an undecided venue.
Mori****a also said that Dream Stage Entertainment has acquired license in the state of Nevada (which I thought was old news). He said that PRIDE's pay-per-view broadcasts are now available in 40-million homes in the US and that PRIDE will plan to have a show in the US in the future.
