Vargas's chin is soso. I did think the outcome would have been different w/o Tito's lowblows. And I forgot about his power.

I would pick Mayorga just cuz of Vargas' chin.

vargas destroys mayorga . he is bigger , technically way sharper and has an underatted defense. his chin is suspect but mayorga doesnt hit that hard at 160. vargas by ud or late stoppage.

I go with Vargas, he seems to give a little more of care in boxing then mayorga does, plus Vargas is Naturally bigger and can hit.

Mayorga has heart but is to wild and will run out of steam, giving vargas a KO in the Ninth.

I'd say Hopkins. He looked worried when he got hit and when Nard pressed the attack, DLH started backing up.

Vargas by KO in the 11th. Mayorga punches turn crazy (as in lazy and slow) after 4 or 5 rounds.

I'll pick Vargas over Mayorga at 154 or 160. He's not only bigger but he is also better than Mayorga. I think the only reason Forrest lost the rematch with Mayorga was because he was scared of getting KO'd again. That's why he started so late in the fight giving Mayorga alot of the early rounds plus he got discouraged when he couldn't hurt Mayorga when he stuck his chin out. Tito didn't get discouraged from not being able to hurt Mayorga when stuck his chin out and then proceeded to kick his ass. Vargas wouldn't be afraid of Mayorga either and beats him for about 10 rounds and stops him in the 11th.

Lesser than good Welter? Have you lost your mind. He was an awsome welterweight. Yes his technique was nowhere to be found, and he was out of control half the time. But yet he still beat some of the best at that weight. When he fought Tito he was in the wrong weight class, and tito is yet to fight a good middle weight since he fought hopkins. And his next fight is against a super Welterweight ( light middleweight how ever you wanna look at it). As far as Mayorga VS. Vargas i dont think it will happen. Vargas cant make weight at 154 and i doubt Mayorga will make the same mistake he had before. Though he does want a rematch with Tito. I think Mayorga would beat Vargas. Mayorga is training to improve his boxing skills, he can only get better.

Mayorga is going to knock Vargas out, cause vargas isnt on steroids anymore,is not going to be in the best shape of his life,is losing alot of weight just to get down to 162 pounds, his going to be drained out,and since Mayorga is going to come in stronger than ever cause he already knows everyone is trying to use him has " IM BACK" when Tito won, "IM REJUVANATED" when Oscar won,now Vargas wants to use him has "I still got it" and I dont think Mayorga is to happy about all that, the 3rd time is the charm for him, cause 1. Trinidad hits harder than Vargas 2.Oscar is just wasy superior than vargas in boxing skills, and also has power, but more so a quick flurry that finishes you off,thats how oscars get his knockouts. that quick flurry after he knocks you down. But vargas doesnt have any of that, the young vargas who fought trinidad demolishes mayorga, but not this version. P.S of coures HOPKINS hits harder than all of them. His a grown strong bull like middle weight who can go up to heavy weight or light weight with no problem. his frame allows him to do that. the others guys cant. So Mayorga TKO'S Vargas to another pride fight next year when his more focus and back at 154 pounds.
