At the time I was listenin to Rancid. Now Imma put in some dropkick and make my way to training.

I have only heard very few punk songs that I like........

Rancid's good, but if i really wanna' get my blood boiling, I'll just listen to something like Avril Lavigne and think of how much she gets paid for making such ****.

Believe it or not I have never heard Eye hate God.

Ratos de porao - I have never heard. Are they from Spain? only latin derived bands of that genre are some Brazilian punk bands (one doing Operation Ivy's "The Crowd" over good) and some Argentina Ska bands.

oh, Operation Ivy should be in everyone's punk CD collection.

Then you've had to listen Ratos de Porao, they are Brazilian, I think they are the most famous brazilian punk band...
I've heard some songs of EHG, and well, I'm not a punk lover, but they are cool.

I prefer heavy, Black Metal and Gothic myself but I have a huge percentage of my friends who are punks and when we have parties they play alot of it. I have to say that if not for them I wouldnt have liked as much of the music, but having being exposed to so much I got like quite alot.

they have to put with Archenemy and Cradle of Filth from me as well as numerous Gothic bands.

Gohtic?mmm...Goethia, Paradise Lost & My Dying Bride (gothic doom), Evereve, Moonspell, Lacrimosa,...but I prefer Black, Death and Grind.

I only have "Gothic" and I thing is very good, but some people tell me this band has better LP's than this...Well I told you, I preffer other styles.:)

Allison - get Operation Ivy. there should be a CD pretty cheap with every song they have ever recorded. Op Ivy is the band that Rancid spawned off. Tim armstrong and Lars were in Op Ivy with Jesse Michaels as the singer.

you also cant go wrong with any Bad Religion CD and if you like those bands you will like AFI.

All releases are great but the best, for me, is "In the dark side..." is the blackest album, the IX Equilibrium is a masterpiece but it's a few hard to listen...And In Flames, I've never heard anything of them...

My taste in music has calmed down, but the punk I would listen to before I grew out of it was Propaghandi, Face to Face, Lagwagon, I would even consider the old offspring cds like Ignition to fall into that category.

As far as the metal I am not really into it, but for some reason I do like Bathory Aria by CoF, and Emperor is good.

Anyone ever hear of Burzum? Crazy ****er went on a nut and burned down churches and killed priests. And I think they have been letting him record out of Norway's prison.

Burzum...Varg Viklerness, a nazi black metal with good music (sorry, I hate nazis), he didn't kill priest but he killed Euronymous, guitar of Mayhem...

they liek to put on a show. I dont see them any differant from Mortiis, Marduk or Deicide. I did read a Sara Deva interview where she mentioned that the flak they get is because of the attention they get. Bands like CoF and Kovenant are more likely known when it comes to Black metal.

The drumer form emperor killed a young man in a bar because he was gay. I can't respect that. Though you cannot deny there musical abilities, there behavior is atrocious.

I think this is false, Bard "Faust" (the dumb drummer that killed the man) was in prisson and the new drummer Trym (perhaps one of the best) I hope he's still alive...

but the most part of BM bands are nihilistics and follow Nietchze philosophy...
Others are masters of meloldies and technic: Emperor, Gehenna (the first), Anorexia Nervosa, Marduk, Enthroned...
