Have you ever heard of this before? Boom Boom Mancini, an american fighter once thrown a killing blow and his victim was a south korean boxer (can't remember his name though)! This incident has made the supporters and the ones who had so much influence, tightened the rules! Once a 15 rounder, they cut it to 12 rounds! And the referee's job is very crucial now because he has every right in seeing if a boxer is being hit to many! And if he dies, the referee can be put to jail!

Mancini-Kim, like most bouts that end in tragedy, was a long, grueling, & draining bout.
The final blow on Kim was a very hard punch, but not a devastating bomb. Kim was not knocked unconscious by it.....he even managed to beat the count. He collapsed shortly thereafter, remained in a coma for a few days before succumbing.
The WBC reduced the number of rounds shortly thereafter.
The WBA did so 3-4 years later....& the IBF did not do so until mid-late '88.

It wasn't one blow that did it. It is RARELY EVER one blow that actually finishes a fighter.
An exception may be Max Baer. They say he once broke somebody's neck with a right hand.

you mean you have never done that? i break necks all the time. the weirdest feeling is when you hit someone in the face barefisted and you feel the front of thier face cave in.
