St.Pierre Injured; Out of UFC 67
By Thomas Gerbasi
UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre has been forced to withdraw from February 3rd’s UFC 67 card due to a knee injury suffered during training for his first title defense against Matt Serra. The rest of the card, which includes the UFC Middleweight title bout between Anderson Silva and Travis Lutter, as well as the UFC debuts of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Mirko ‘CroCop’ Filipovic, remains intact. Stay tuned to UFC.com for more information as it becomes available.
the giant one 01-02-2007, 02:29 PM maybe hughes or sanchez can step in? honestly though it wouldnt help serra anyways as he would lose to both of them

I would say put sanchez in their if he's continued training(not taking a break) he finished hughes earlly and this would be a good test for both fighters.. give sanchez a decent win over a veteran and may turn heads for serra if he beats diego..
The next ufc68 is lookin promising, both hughes and franklin are rumored for their return aftter loss'
swhite10 01-04-2007, 07:34 PM Serra has already stated that he has no problem waiting for his match against Georges St. Pierre.
Also Erik Apple, a training partner of Renato "Babalu" Sobral has mentioned that Babalu will be fighting on the card against Jason Lambert.
swhite10 01-05-2007, 03:14 AM Rumor has it that Sam Hogar's opponent will be Ryoto Machida. The UFC acquired Machida when they purchased the WFA's assets/contracts.

robot_monkey 01-05-2007, 10:45 AM I believe the title of the event is "ALL OR NOTHING".

that could be a nice showcase for Machida
swhite10 01-05-2007, 03:25 PM Definitely, the news is on Hogar's myspace page but I don't currently have the link to it.
Also it seems there are more and more reports popping up about Hughes vs. Lytle at UFC 68. When I was told about the fight it wasn't signed, I'll try to get an update for you folks to see what the current situation is with Hughes.
brownpimp88 01-05-2007, 05:48 PM Yep hogar and machida will fight, we have a new contender at the 205 division. War Lyoto!

Ya I've read but thanks. Hughes vs Lytle isnt really a good matchup is it? Lytle didnt seem to good on the reality show and the finale, Hughes is gon kick the **** outta Lytle.
LHWchamp5 01-05-2007, 08:16 PM NSAC could not let matt fight lytle.. It's too big of a mismatch.. we know how stern the nsac is when it comes to mismatches.. Oh hold on, this is ufc fight, oh nevermind if ufc wants it, it will happen.
icex48x 01-05-2007, 11:30 PM guess the ufc wants to give matt a "sure" win .. seems like tehre doing the same thing with franklin

Even after a comment like that, I bet it still means more than a gay pride PPV
robot_monkey 01-09-2007, 08:32 AM You got to build em up before you break em down.

Ya your right, we should leave you be to watch TUF and a bunch of guys that couldn't successfully compete in the UFC..
While I will go watch pride which actually features the best fighters from all over the globe..

I have no ****ing idea what u see in that pride ****, it bores tha hell outta me. Watched the last ppv, and i ****ing fell asleep...literally fell asleep watching that bull****. I like UFC cause the Fighters are more well known, lotsa potential in the fighters, and the company is making MMA one of the most popular shows in television. Pride had nothing to do with that.
2swell k-wells 01-09-2007, 03:31 PM correction, most popular sport ever. Micheal Bisping is gonna be a succesful competitor. Why do ya think Cro Cop and Rampage switched over to ufc? uh dont take a brain surgene to know that...cause UFC is the thing today. **** Pride, boring ****ing waste of television. Ya they have good fighters but **** its jus stilll boringggg dogg.
LHWchamp5 01-10-2007, 10:57 AM your absolutly right,.,. sylvia/monson was the fight of the century.. action packed, agility like crazy and nobody gassed.. the action was non-stop exciting but the crowd.. Why do they alwasy boo for the good ones?? damn rednecks know as much about the sport as you do.l..
quit trolin ***.

Jus cause one fight was boring dont mean the UFC is boring. Bringing up Tim Silvia is the only thing u got??. Ive seen all the fights later ppv on ufc and pride and pride blew it very bad. Action was poor, the crowd was poor, jus everything was pathetic. Couldnt catch the Fedor fight cause I fell asleep before. There were more exciting fights in the ufc, Jus cause Tim Silvia and Monson were boring dont mean the whole ****ing UFC is boring.

actually when yoru champs and contenders are nothign more than pylons yah it makes THE ENTIRE ufc boring..
You did see what happend to franklin right?? an unsuccessful pride fighter whooped him in 1.5mins 2mins tops?? ahahah go ufc go... lmfao douchebag.
ya keep grabbin for something that isn't there, let me know how it works out for ya..
Atnan 01-11-2007, 10:47 AM you ****s are retarded......there is no point in arguing pride over ufc.......just think of it like boxing-we all know the boxers, not the organization/championship they fight for ( example, WBO, WBA, etc...)! Now that ufc is getting talent/fighters from pride, the competition is getting equall and the ufc champs are going to get exposed one by one like franklin did! Cro-Cop will own tim, and rampage is gonna beat chuck....as for sherk, he would lose to any top 5 pride light-weight, ( gomi, ishda, kawa, hansen, or aurelio) thats if they can make the 155 pound weight limit! GSP is probably the only true champion in ufc, and a motivated bj penn would knock his ass out!
