I had to give my legs a rest today due to shin splints and sore calfs, and Id rather not run tomorrow just to make sure. Is there anything I can do at home for a good workout? I still need to get a good workout tomorrow because two days off for me is bad.

If you are really sore, I'd say it's better to take a few days extra off than to push yourself too hard.
For conditioning, I like to do "minute drills" that I learned from Ross Enamait. For example, I'll do 30 seconds of squat thrusts, 30 seconds of mountain climbers, 30 seconds of shadow boxing, and then 30 seconds of jumping jacks, for a total "round" of 2 minutes. I then rest 1 minute, and start again. I started with just 3 rounds of squat thrusts and shadow boxing. I worked my way up to 6 rounds. Then I added the other exercises to make it tougher. I am now doing 4 rounds, and working up to 5, then 6. I use an online timer that works well. http://www.speedbagforum.com/timer.html

Why do you have the shin splints? From running?

yeah and I dont recall ever having them either. I mean Ive had sore shins, but after around seven minutes of running it starts to hurt like hell. I got them from running around my neighborhood because I had been running on the treadmill for three weeks straight and was fine.
