Hey I am going to be purchasing a punching bag soon and was wondering what size I should get. I am 5'10" ish and weigh about 135-140, but I'm trying to gain weight(although I don't know how succesfull I'll be with it). Suggestions?

80lb should do the trick. try to get one with liner so you dont injure your wrists. If you go for the cheap ones they sell at the local sporting goods stores, get really good gloves to make up for the lack of protection.

Ahhhh...this would explain why I hurt my wrists all those months ago. After that I wised up and got some of those gel wraps to put under my gloves and that stopped it all together.

How can you tell if the bag has a liner?

if its hard to the touch then it doesnt have it. If it does have it, there will be some give before you hit the sand in the bag(Ihave a cheap liner-less bag at home, does the trick since I have some nice well padded gloves).

titleboxing.com bags all have some sort of foam liner I think. It will say if it does generally.

I have really grown to love the 200-pound bag. I can't move it very much, but it gives one very good feedback as to leverage, etc.

Well my parents got me a gift certificate to a big5 for the bag so I kind of have to get whatever they have, so I was wondering what to get if I have to choose between a 70lb bag n a 100lb bag. Btw I already have a decent set of gloves and some of those gel wraps.
