I was very impressed with Tito's stand up fighting against Shamrock @ the last UFC. Do you think he's improved that much, or was he taking advantage of a guy who's never been a world class striker? Also, any news on Ortiz-Liddell or when and where Tito's next fight will be?

I personally think he has worked his ass off on his striking and it's gotten to a very high level. I think he'll be ready to throw with Chuck if/when this fight goes down.

I'm thinking that if Ortiz tries to stay on his feet with Liddell, he's gonna get smashed. Ortiz may have improved on his striking, but I doubt he's in Liddell's league. The only way Ortiz will be able to take him is on the ground, but Liddell's pretty tough to take down. Liddell should get him. Probably by decision

Oh yeah, I was also impressed with Ortiz's standup in the Shamrock fight. Ernesto Ortiz. :crazy2:

All tito has to do to beat liddell is take to the ground. Work some ground and pound and staying away from the fence. Plus Ttito can throw a punch but, liddell can throw a mean kick and punch. So standing not a good idea. Look at belfort tried standing and got owned.

I've got my doubts as to whether Ortiz can even take him down. Liddell's probably got one of the best takedown defences in MMA.

No doubt Chuck has one of the best takedown defenses in the game. I think Tito's kicking has improved as well as his punching to where he has a pretty good all around striking game. I think overall he's a more complete fighter than Chuck and a little bigger than Chuck. If this fight happens, I'm going with Tito by tko or ref stoppage in round 4. You heard it here first.

This is starting to sound like what was being said before Tito & Shamrock! Both Tito & Chuck are excellant fighters, the build up to the actual event will be awesome & being good friends with each other is bound to be good in the sense that each knows it will be a tough fight.

Tito will take Chuck down...but the question is 'Can Tito keep HIM down?'. Tito has some of the best ground positioning i ever seen, but can he keep Liddel down long enough to do some damage?

If i had to bet, I would take Chuck every time. Chucks take down defence is great and his stand up is equally great.
Tito is also a well rounded fighter with sharp elbows. beleive this fight would be short thou ending in a W for chuck TKO in the second

IMO Tito's stand up skills have improved drastically but to say that he can stand up and trade with Liddell is insane. Tito needs to stick with what works best for him, GNP.

Titos stand up has improved 10 fold, he had some serious Muy Thai going on. but in my heart I know Chuck has the skills to aviod Titos take down and aslo the skills on his feet to Put Tito on his bum
