Mike Bernardo

What's going to happen to him next? The man starts off KOing next to everyone in K-1 and was at one time thought to be the most dangerous man (with Aerts) in K-1 from 96 - 98. With some of the most violent punches in K-1. Now he's having problems with guys like Watt, Erikson, and Goodridge. No disrespect to those 3 good fighters but Mike should have walked over them. Mike did win big in the rematch with Goodridge and won a rematch against Watt at the 2001 Grand Prix. His jaw has always been average but seems to be weaker now. Does anyone still think he has a chance at making it to the Grand Prix this time around? He hasn't been there since 98. He's still every exciting and gives his all when he fights.

He looks like hell against Ignashov, Abidi, etc. Now he's looking like his old self against Sefo. What the hell is going on? Is this his second wind? He says he's injury free now and I think his fight with Sefo proved that. Aerts is the most up and down fighter in K-1 right now. I'd like to see a fight between Aerts and Bernardo again. Old timer x old timer.

He looked awesome against Sapp in the first round last time but once again plays it dumb and lets the fight slip thru his fingers. His winning of the last Grand Prix was complete nonsense IMO. He's old for a fighter at 38. Can he still go some more? The man has had well over 100 fights his career. All that damage must add up after a while.
