View Full Version : If you eat alot of fruit, will you gain weight? Manfredo Jr 12-20-2006, 04:31 PM ive had like 8 pieces of fruit today , 9 if you enclude a glass of fresh orange juice, i wont put on weight will i? 1_Punch_KO 12-20-2006, 04:39 PM yes, ur gonna be like that guy who won the biggest loser.. stay away from fruit at all costs. /sarcasm Evil_Meat 12-20-2006, 06:35 PM u got nothin to worry about phallus 12-20-2006, 06:44 PM u got nothin to worry about unless u eat a whole box of mandarin oranges at once. i did that one time and i was stuck on the ****ter for a whole day. i think i even sharted in my pants, that's one thing u don't wanna do in the gym PunchDrunk 12-20-2006, 07:07 PM Depends on what else you eat. But generally you have to eat a LOT of fruit for that to be a weight gaining factor. Manfredo Jr 12-21-2006, 03:52 PM Depends on what else you eat. But generally you have to eat a LOT of fruit for that to be a weight gaining factor. ive been trying to eat real healthy and ive been training real hard. i love fruit just now, im always eating it , today ive had 4 small oranges , a apple and a banana , ive not been eating **** or junk food either , im just gonna have a few sweets one day a week so i can stick to my diet PunchDrunk 12-21-2006, 04:28 PM Sounds real good. I don't you'll have any problems with your weight in that case.:) mgkirkpatrick 12-21-2006, 06:07 PM you'll never gain weight eating fruit because your body burns more calories breaking it down then there is in the fruit. yrrej 12-21-2006, 10:09 PM Depends on the fruit. Apples are very fattening with about 300 calories per. Dried fruit is often overeaten as well, because one can eat a lot without realizing it..... aljon 12-21-2006, 10:13 PM Yes you will gain weight but not fat, which is good... yrrej 12-21-2006, 10:32 PM Don't be frigging ridiculous! Obviously, you are not a nutritionist. Calories are calories, regardless of whether they are from fruit or lard. The difference is that carbs cost 25% of their energy in order to be converted to fat. Fat only costs 3% of its energy. So, if you eat enough carbs, you will get fat, just the same as if you eat too much lard or oil..... PunchDrunk 12-22-2006, 05:24 AM Depends on the fruit. Apples are very fattening with about 300 calories per. Dried fruit is often overeaten as well, because one can eat a lot without realizing it..... 300 calories in ONE apple? Not true. more like 100, depending on size. While you're right, that calories are generally calories, there's still a big difference on what kind of impact 100 calories of coca cola has compared to 100 calories of fruit. Dried fruit is very calorie dense, but fresh fruit has very little calories compared to most other (especially processed) foods. yrrej 12-24-2006, 12:38 AM Punch drunk, I am talking about apples here. They are calorie dense. Don't eat too many of them. Same with dried fruit. Everything is relative..... |
