Know what you mean, Holyfield is my all time fav. too. My picks (probably wrong!!) I guess would be: McCline by decision, Holy by any means necessary :D , and hopefully Golota will put an end to Ruiz (not much of an improvement, though) and Rahman by decision...like I said, probably wrong on all counts! :p

My picks are...

Golota middle to late round Ko over Ruiz!

This one is tuff!!! I will say McCline decisions Byrd!

Rahman easily KO's Meehan within 4!

I hate to say this one but, Donald does the same to Holeyfield as Toney did!!! Donald has a great chin and stamina!!! I just don't see Holy going the distance anymore!!! I hate to say it cause Holy is one of my all time favorites too!!! Good luck Evander!!!

good points, but i think mccline is too much of a jerk off to decision byrd. plus look at what happens when byrd goes the distance (golota, oquendo)? even if he wins the fight, mccline wont get the decision. like i said before, don kings needs a nice strong heart attack.

Byrd vs. MCcline (Byrd, by tko you heard it here first.)
Ruiz vs. Golota (someone wins by dq not sure which yet)
Holyfield vs. Donald ( Holyfield, Holyfield can still take take a win off of nobodies )
Rahman vs. Meehan (Rahman, hes been really active lately that starts to pay off in the end.)

I can't believe they had the balls to charge money for this. Terrible, just terrible. I think I'll just get blunted, watch Tito/Mayorga and Ibeabuchi/Byrd, and grub out until I fall asleep. It'll be cheaper and alot more entertaining.

You will fight to stay awake, believing that something interesting will happen. But, you will succumb to the all powerful Sandman.

Hasim Rahman UD Kali Meehan
Evander Holyfield UD Larry Donald
Chris Byrd UD Jameel McCline
John Ruiz UD Andrew Golota

I'm picking a heavyweight card with no knockouts.
And I'm still buying it.

I think Ruiz-Golota is the MAIN event of this one. Byrd has his "turn" in April when they both fought on the same card. Oddly enough, that would put the Foul Pole in the main event of both shows.

Byrd W12
Golota TKO6 (I am hoping that all the bad Karma Ruiz MUST Have racked up by boring the hell out of us finally takes effect.)
Meehan TKO8
Donald W12 (I hate to say it.)

I won't be suprised if I pick every one wrong.

OK here we go.

I think byrd will do 600 circles, 31 cartwheel, 5 handstands and 2 starjumps when he dodges and weeves his way to yet another boring 12 round win.

No man can beat Ruiz at the moment, that boring stupid fool keeps bloody winning, even when we expect him to lose.
he will hug golota and then turn him around a few times on the dance floor before winning a 12 round SD, and a nomination for ring magazines most ****ed up boxing contest.

The other ones are a wo's who, of who gives a ****.

Holyfield, way past his prime will win his first match since vietnam.
and i think i'm goin an upset and i say Meehan will beat rahman.

Why is no one talking about Barrett v. Beck? Is this fight not going to be televised?

Rahman KO by 4 Meehan (Don King joke is easliy KO'd by a shot Rahman)
Holyfield UD Donald (he better or he is through)
Byrd UD McCline (Byrd loses again yet gets another gift decision)
Ruiz DQ by 8 Golota (Golota self destructs again)
Barrett UD Beck (If Barrett actually had any power he could KO'd glass chinned Beck)

Byrd-McCline: Obviously I'm going with my boy Chris. I think that he will make McCline look like an amatuer, just like he did when he sparred with him in the gym. Byrd wins a lopsided UD.

Ruiz-Golota: I'm praying that Andrew Golota wins this fight. Ruiz is the most boring fighter in the history of the world! Golota wins by 8th round TKO.

Holyfield-Donald: I'm not to famailiar with Donald but I think that Evander will win this one. Holyfield has been fighting top tier guys for a long time now, maybe if he steps down the competition he can get a win. Holyfield wins by UD

Rahman-Meehan: This could be a pretty intersting fight while it lasts. The Rock hits hard and I suspect he will win by KO. Rahman wins by 6th round KO.

Barret-Beck: This is a WBC elmination fight. Again I'm not too famailar with Beck, so its hard too say. Barret wins by UD.

it's a shame that king is keeping byrd away from the other champs i think byrd really wants the klits and toney.

This is a $30 dollar PPV at most, not friggin' $45. I'll save my money for Klitschko-Williams.
My picks:

Golota late TKO or SD over Ruiz- (I was favoring Ruiz but something tells me Golota is gonna come mean)

Byrd SD McCline- Jameel just doesn't have the instinct of a fighter-add in the fact he really likes Chris, and I see him losing a close decision.

Holyfield UD Donald-Holyfield is an old man, but Donald is AWFUL and shot as well

Meehan UD Rahman-Hasim sucks. Meehan is gonna come hungry and outjab the jabber, and basically outwork Rahman which is what has happened to him ever since the Lewis rematch (minus the draw against a fat slobby Tua)

you know, i always thought there was a foreign substance that made byrds eyes swell in that fight, but i was never sure till i saw your new avatar.

never before in all my years have i seen a fighters eye's swell from the outside-in w/out a cut being involved.

that swelling has all the characteristics of an allergic reaction.

i now more than ever wanna see a rematch of these two, but in the u.s..

So getting hit with 156 power punches and even more jabs from someone who has as much power as Wlad and you expect his eyes and face to not be swollen? I also would like a rematch. Beating Byrd again will be a huge confidence booster for Wlad.

swelling of the eye's happens from the bridge of the nose out toward the side of the face.

that swelling is starting from the outside of the his eyes in, it didn't even reach his nose.

if he was cut that type of swelling i could understand, but that looks like facal allergy swelling .

You are completely ignoring the swelling on the rest of his face. So its hard to cut Byrd, that doesn't mean that he be a human punching bag for 12 rounds and not expect to get a swollen face and eyes.

he seriously got beat up, i doubt there was anything on wlads gloves, Byrd's face got swollen like that because of what was IN his gloves, his fists. Like I said, i saw a guy get hit in the face playing basketball and he ended up with a swelling very, very similar to the one we are discussing, there was no substance or powder on the other guys elbow. :D

On a video tape yes, on the computer no. Either way you aren't missing much. Its not like Byrd did much besides get hit with punches. Are you seeing how many times Byrd is getting hit with power shots flush on the face? The older Klitschko fights in mpg format are edited, but the newer ones in avi format are not edited.

mr.thraz

On a video tape yes, on the computer no.
do you have a video card ? can you digitize it? i would have to see the whole fight.
Either way you aren't missing much.
i'd like to be the judge of what im missing, giving me an edited fight from the klitschko website is a bit like leaving the wolf in charge of the hen house. there is less than 5 sec. of action between edited cuts.
The older Klitschko fights in mpg format are edited, but the newer ones in avi format are not edited.
all these rounds are edited mpegs.
Are you seeing how many times Byrd is hit with power shots flush on the face?
yes, but i've seen byrd get hit with powershots before. i've seen tua hit him, ike hit him, thunder hit him, but no one i've seen has hit him in a sustained fashion. and i cant tell if wald was either cause it only has five seconds of action before another cut. its as if they only wanted to show wlads best work. also, i always thought that if there was a substance on the gloves, then wlad would have had to have kept his guard open as not to affect himself with it, and low and behold his guard is wide open, never near his own face. even when byrd throw his right across wlads face he didn't even try to block.

this only makes me more sure something was fishy.
i'l need the whole fight to confirm or disprove my suspitions but right now im as sure as i can be that wlad cheated.

do you have a video card ? can you digitize it? i would have to see the whole fight.

i'd like to be the judge of what im missing, giving me an edited fight from the klitschko website is a bit like leaving the wolf in charge of the hen house. there is less than 5 sec. of action between edited cuts.

all these rounds are edited mpegs.

yes, but i've seen byrd get hit with powershots before. i've seen tua hit him, ike hit him, thunder hit him, but no one i've seen has hit him in a sustained fashion. and i cant tell if wald was either cause it only has five seconds of action before another cut. its as if they only wanted to show wlads best work. also, i always thought that if there was a substance on the gloves, then wlad would have had to have kept his guard open as not to affect himself with it, and low and behold his guard is wide open, never near his own face. even when byrd throw his right across wlads face he didn't even try to block.

this only makes me more sure something was fishy.
i'l need the whole fight to confirm or disprove my suspitions but right now im as sure as i can be that wlad cheated.

He got hit by more than 300 punches against Wlad. No one else landed anywhere near that. Wlad did put his gloves to his face in order to protect himself a number of times. I don't know anything about video cards or digitizing it. If you want to see it that badly, I would be open to trades over mail.

thats not surprising if he use somthing to swell byrds eyes Wlad did put his gloves to his face in order to protect himself a number of times.

On the edited version he has his guard up at the end of the 5th and 7th rounds and mid way through the 8th round. I am interested mostly in heavyweights, and my 90s collections needs some work. What do you have from this era?

here is my 90's heavy collection: i can convert it to vcd or dvd which ever you prefer. vcd will be easier for you to turn into avi for online trade, but doesn't play in all dvd players.

any two of these fight for byrd vs. wlad:

Evander Holyfield vs. George Foreman
Evander Holyfield vs. Buster Douglas
Mike Tyson vs. Razor Ruddock 1&2
Evander Holyfield vs. Larry Holmes,
Lennox Lewis vs. Razor Ruddock
Riddick Bowe vs. Evander Holyfield 1-3
Tommy Morrison vs. George Foreman
Michael Moorer vs. Evander Holyfield 1&2
George Foreman, vs. Michael Moorer
Riddick Bowe vs. Andrew Golota 1&2
Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson 1&2
Lennox Lewis vs. Evander Holyfield 1&2
ike vs.byrd
ike vs.tua
byrd vs.thunder
harris vs.holmes

sorry it is so slim i lost most of my 90's stuff form moving around in the army so much, but i still have some choice fights if you dont have them.

Thrax, Byrd got the **** kicked out of him by Klitscko, it was so one sided, i credit Byrd with a good chin but in that fight, thats all he had.

we all know he got his ass kick.

the aurgument here is why. was wlad the better boxer?, or did wlad have something on his gloves to swell byrd eyes?

by watching the fight unedited i could find out.
but the fight is hard to find, hbo never aired it in the u.s..

start two pages back and youll see the argument.

btw kimmy the name is thraz, its short for thrasybule (thra*ze*bule) thrax just aint my name :)

Hmmm I am still deciding. I'm having some trouble. Would you like to extend the number of fights we each give each other by a fight or two. It seems like your Lewis collection is lacking.

I have Lewis v.:
Golota
Morrison
McCall I and II
Mercer

Or if there is something else you are interested in let me know. I obviously have lots of Klitschko, but if you want something else I might have it. And as I sign of goodwill I could send you some links from the Klitschko site. They have 30+ non Klitschko unedited fights featuring Johnson, Nicholson, Brewster, Sanders, Lewis, Bean, Donald, Mercer, McCline, and Botha against various opponents.

I hate making predictions, It's bad luck. Having said that I've got a feeling it's the end of the road for Ruiz.

As for Byrd, I think he's been lucky to keep the belt this long, but Mcline isn't much of a threat

Oh come now, P4P 86, two heavyweight titles are on the line, two former champion is trying to get into the mix again, and a WBC elmination fight is taking place, this is a great card. I'm really excited about it.

C.I.T.A.....

No offense, but you have POOR TASTE.

This card is an ABOMINATION !

You can't call yourself a fight fan & think this card is worth ANYTHING.

I kid you not, if you PAID ME THE $45.00, .....I'm not staying in on a Saturday night to watch it !

It is the single worst card ever assembled, period.

Well here's my ranking of what I want if you still want to trade 1 for 2:

1. Ike v. Byrd
2. Golota v. Bowe II

Here's 3 and 4 in case you want to extend the trade:

3. Tua v. Ike
4. Holyfield v. Bowe II

byrd outpoints mccline
holyfield-donald no idea hopefully holyfield but his just way to god damn old
meehan-rahman i can care less

Ruiz- Golota

Tha fight starts, both throwin punches, golota leading,
john ruiz throws and HUgs him tha ref stops it
this happens about 15-20 times per round
it's round 5
Andrew Golota is going crazy cuz he's been hugged about 90-100 times so far
ruiz comes in for tha hug and golota gives him tha worse combo he's ever felt, ruiz goes down
he dont get up for about 15 minutes, then he gets up in pain
andrew golota is happy cuz ruiz was down
it goes to tha announcement by michael buffer
tha winner by DQ John RUIZ

and ruiz goes to tha hospital that night
cuz andrew golota did it again
he low blowed him worse then he did riddick bowe's 2 fights combined
he just couldnt take that bearhuggin

and that's what will happen that night

McCline KO5 Byrd (Byrd is too small and I hope McCline rushes him and beats him down)
Ruiz KO9 Golota (Ruiz nails the old pole with "the sneaker" behind the head.
Rahman UD Donald
Holyfield KO4 Meehan (Toney is better then you think)

I think Byrd made a poor excuse, just because I'm a Byrd fan doesn't mean I agree with everything he says. While I think some very strange things have happened in Germany, I just don't think that anything happened.Byrd should have just accepted his beating and take it like a man.

However I'm glad you brought that up(substance on Wlad's gloves) because if it had happened to one of the Klits you know that their fans would for sure use it as an excuse.
