I just thought about something. If you have a good internet connection to download movies, music and ****, can you transfer downloaded movies to dvd? If you could that would be cool, you could have a movie, tv show, **** or whatever on DVD for a cheap price. You could have any mover ever made, I bet someday every tv show ever will be available on the net somehow.

lol it is possible. Their called DVD drives and you can buy them for about 200$ and download the files off mirc or transer mpegs to them with the right software

Another good idea would be to connecty your tv to your computer. Can you do that now? You could watch downloaded movies on your tv, that would be cool.

The 1st and 2nd thing you said are done all the time, I wish I had the attention span to figure out how to do it

get any DVD-writer. The nice one is the Sony DRU500A, it can write both types of media +r and -r, and also will do the +rw and -rw's that way you won't get stuck if you buy a -r writer and something you need needs to be on a +r. They should have it at sony's website, and it costs around $350 US. I paid 379, because only one place had it in stock, and I didn't want to wait for the place that had it @ $349 to get it in.

lol i friggin hate Irc somtimes too. If you good converting software like the latest Nero you can burn any video media to SVCD (very good quality, with a good clip its almost as good as dvd) or convert to DVD.

You guys know a book or website where I can learn more about this type of stuff. I'd really like to start transferring some of the stuff I've downloaded to DVD, it'd be cool to transfer all the highlights I have to DVD too.

as a matter a fact i have a great site. See you dont need to burn DVDS, for that you would need a dvd drive which is costly. You could just get a cd burner and burn VCD's (vhs quality video disks that work in most dvd players) or high quality SVCDS (good picture and quality)

this site will probably have ALL the info and tools you will need. I reocmend you get on kazaa and download Nero also.
