2012 Australian Olympian Jeff Horn is predicting a huge upset, but Manny Pacquiao's Australian trainer insists there’s simply no way it can happen.

Justin Fortune has worked with Pacquiao since 2002 and knows the Filipino superstar’s speed and power better than just about anybody.

Asked his thoughts on the recently-confirmed July 2 [July 1 in the United States] bout in Brisbane — including if he gave rising welterweight Horne any hope of an upset — Fortune was blunt.

“No. It’s plain and simple, no, he (Horn) has no chance,” Fortune told Fox Sports News 500. “Manny Pacquiao has fought nobody but world champions and ex-world champions — not ranked below No.4. Jeff Horn has fought Ali (Funeka) ... whatever his f***ing name was. That’s it.”

Horne, 29, is nine years Pacquiao’s junior, is the bigger of the two fighters and possesses a slightly greater reach.

Fortune, though, says it all means nothing.

“It’s the quality of competition (that matters). It’s got nothing to do with being a bigger puncher,” Fortune said. “Pacquiao punches like he’s a f**ing super middeweight ... his speed is ridiculous.

“Still, at 38 years old, he’s stupidly fast. Pretty much one of the three fastest guys out there and then on top of that he has natural power, which is a gift. Chuck that on top of his speed, it’s like getting hit by a super middleweight.

“He might (have lost) a little bit of speed but even if he loses two or three spots in speed, he’s still faster than anyone else out there.”

Asked to predict how the fight would play out, Fortune suggested Horn would end up on the canvas.

“It will go as long as Manny wants it to go,” Fortune said. “Unfortunately for Jeff, he’s not a triple A (level fighter) he’s an A fighter. Nothing derogatory against him or anything like that, it’s just he hasn’t had the experience at that level of Pacquiao. I wish Jeff Horn all the best in the world mate, because he’s a nice guy.  Losing to Manny Pacquiao will not disrupt his career whatsoever. But sometimes you’ve just got to look at it and face facts.”
