Fonfara Interested in Facing Chad Dawson in The Fall

By Luke Furman

Although there have been no talks, Andrzej Fonfara (25-3, 15 KOs) is interested in facing former WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (32-3, 18 KOs) in the fall. Dawson, the one-time conqueror of Fonfara's countryman, Tomasz Adamek, returned to action last week to blast out George Blades in one round at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. It was Dawson's first win since losing back to back fights to Adonis Stevenson and Andre Ward. Earlier this year Dawson signed with manager Al Haymon.

Fonfara was last seen in action back in May, where rallied in the late rounds to drop and badly hurt Adonis Stevenson, but ultimately lost a twelve round decision.

I like this new power punching version of Dawson when he puts his newfound weight behind shots you're going to feel it.

All depends on how Dawson is mentally when he takes a punch

Every fight in the light heavyweight division just seems like cold leftovers compared to a Kovalev/Stevenson unifier.

I like this fight. Fonfara showed a lot of heart in his last fight and Dawson's trying to comeback. It makes sense...
