WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. believes newly crowned IBF junior middleweight champion Carlos Molina is the perfect comeback fight for Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Both Molina (22-5-2, 6KOs) and Canelo (42-1-1, 30KOs) were in action on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Molina captured the IBF belt with a twelve round decision win over Ishe Smith, who Mayweather manages. In the main event, Canelo lost a majority twelve round decision to Mayweather.

"I think he should fight Molina. I think that's a good fight for him, to get back his confidence," Mayweather said. "Canelo does everything right, he is the future, and he's going to be a champion again in no time."

[QUOTE=racostaa]Excuses because everybody knows the finest Cubans are better than those builded by Arun or Golden Boy. Canelo is a good boxer, but a normal one. Nothing exceptional. Why not Lara? Lara won Molina, why not him against Canelo?. The real truth is that GB not want a new Rigondeaux des...

Carlos Molina is a sloppy fighter and I would not call what him and Ish Smith did on Saturday night action. Ishe afted as if he had something better to do that night and Molina fought like an amuteur.
