“I am excited to be the main fighter on the debut live telecast of Fist of Power. I am not going to disappoint my supporters!” said Yang, who is trained by Hall of Famer Freddie Roach.

Exclusively sponsored by Sands China Ltd, and promoted by Top Rank, SECA and G-Sports, the Fist of Power live telecast will be a full world championship event production and will be broadcast throughout China via regional channels in major cities like Beijing Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Top Rank has been boxing preeminent promotion company since its founding by Bob Arum in 1966.  Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the U.S., Top Rank has promoted the biggest boxing stars of the past 48 years, including Muhammad Ali, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Top Rank and with SECA, Zou Shiming's’ agent and Chinese professional sports marketing company want to bring Chinese fans the exciting boxing experience of Las Vegas to Shanghai. Bob Arum, founder and CEO of Top Rank, promised an exact replica of a championship night of boxing such as it is in the U.S.

“We can’t wait to go to Shanghai to present this world-class boxing event," said Hall of Fame promoter and CEO of Top Rank Bob Arum. "We believe Fist of Power should share the same spectacular features as our Top Rank-produced events where great fighters like Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Zou Shiming, Vasyl Lomachenko have fought.  Production values, including lighting effects and background music will absolutely meet the standards developed by Top Rank."

G-Sports, a Shanghai-based sport TV channel, will produce a documentary to recap Fist of Power's debut live telecast and it will be seen on dozens of regional sports channels throughout China.

“Sands China fully supports Chinese professional sports. This is why The Venetian Macao hosts professional boxing events to bring Chinese fighters like Zou Shiming, Yang Lianhui, Rex Tso and K.K. Ng to an international stage to show their skills and help them improve," said Edward Tracy, President and CEO of Sands China Ltd.  "With a 1.4 billion population, China is home to many enthusiastic boxing fans. We are confident that it is an attractive choice to host boxing events in mainland China while helping to develop potential boxers.”

"We are signing skillful boxers to give them opportunities to fight, and support both Zou and Yang to achieve their dreams of winning  world titles," said Sheng Li, CEO of SECA.

"In July, we just launched the weekly boxing TV show Fist of Power, which shares the same name as the upcoming event and is produced by SECA and G-Sport. The show's goal is to attract Chinese fans to the heat of global professional boxing. Hopefully we will host professional boxing events in mainland China on a regular basis, so that Chinese fans can enjoy the excitement of a live boxing event in their hometown.”

SECA has been signing Chinese rising boxing stars. Six of them will appear on the Fist of Power night, including Zhou Yunfei, the bronze medalist n last year’s China National Games. They will face challengers from notable boxing countries such as Thailand and the Philippines.
