Fernando Vargas-Hector Camacho Jr Would Be at 175

By Mark Vester

If Fernando Vargas (26-5, 22 KOs) decides to make a return to the ring against Hector Camacho Jr. (49-3-1. 27 KOs) in 2010, BoxingScene.com was advised that the fight would have to take place at 175-pounds. As previously reported, Camacho and Vargas exchanged words last week in Ohio during a media event for Camacho's fight against Israel Cardona.

Vargas last fought at 164-pounds in December 2007 and lost a twelve round decision to Ricardo Mayorga. In that fight Vargas looked very sluggish. At moment Vargas is walking around at a weight of at least 200-pounds or more. Camacho has fought as high as light heavyweight but recently he was able to get himself back into shape and dropped back down to junior middleweight. Camacho said that he would be facing ex-champion Yory Boy Campas on October 31.

I thought they were just trash talking in that video and not serious....but Vargas would have to lose like 75lbs at least to make LHW.....kind of a freak show if it happens. Vargas should just stay retired.

Vargas was an exciting fighter but he was to brave for his chin. This fight is meaningless. Camacho is living off his father's name.

[[email protected]@PR;6010557]Please Fernando stay retire. And why he wants to fight a WW at LHW?[/QUOTE] He's too fat to make the 147 or 154 lbs. Dude has to be walking around 200 + lbs.
