Former champion Fernando Montiel is very disappointed with last Saturday's knockout loss to Nonito Donaire. Montiel lost his WBO/WBC bantamweight titles after a left hook put him down hard in the second round of their fight at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Montiel was badly hurt and unable to recover. Montiel said that he was never hurt like that in his entire career.

"I feel sad because I know the expectations that everybody had for me in the fight. I had a great camp and I felt great but in the end things did not go as I had expected. It hurts my pride because I know that it was a single punch that ended the fight. I'm fine, but yes, I've never been hurt like that before," Montiel said.

some negros can't accept that 2 pinoys are the p4p #1 and #2 cause they are so used to blacks dominating the sport. I for one welcome any and all races to vie for the #1 spot without racism or prejudice.

[QUOTE=Mr. Invincible] OnThe punch was excellent and Nonito said it was the hardest shot he's ever landed on someone. That says a lot because he knocked Darchinyan into next week. topic, the fight was slightly stopped prematurely given that Montiel did get to his feet after being severely flatten...
