| Felix Sturm Has Until September To Make Golovkin Bout

By Ruslan Chikov According to K2 Promotions, WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (36--2-2, 15KOs) has until September to make a mandatory title defense against Gennady Golovkin. Sturm has a fight scheduled for April 13th against Sebastian Zbik (30-1, 10KOs). The WBA allowed Sturm to move forward with Zbik, with the condition that he fights Golovkin (22-0, 19KOs) by September. Golovkin has been waiting to secure his title opportunity for quite some time. What does Golovkin do in the interim? Does he have any potential fights scheduled this year? I hate to see guys sit on the sidelines waiting for title shots indefinitely... |

I will believe it when I see it. The WBC has repeatedly given Chavez ultimatums to fight Martinez and that isn't gonna happen. Sturm will find a way out and continue dodging Golovkin |
