Felix Sturm Has Until September To Make Golovkin Bout
By Ruslan Chikov
According to K2 Promotions, WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (36--2-2, 15KOs) has until September to make a mandatory title defense against Gennady Golovkin. Sturm has a fight scheduled for April 13th against Sebastian Zbik (30-1, 10KOs). The WBA allowed Sturm to move forward with Zbik, with the condition that he fights Golovkin (22-0, 19KOs) by September. Golovkin has been waiting to secure his title opportunity for quite some time.
Um no. Golovkin will KHTFO.
he'll have to ... if he even gets his shot ... i've said it already in this thread but the sooner somebody sparks sturm and gets rid of the fecker the better.Comment by terrymccann on 03-24-2012
Sturm will do anything to get out of this.....Comment by BostonGuy on 03-24-2012
What does Golovkin do in the interim? Does he have any potential fights scheduled this year? I hate to see guys sit on the sidelines waiting for title shots indefinitely...Comment by giacomino on 03-24-2012
I will believe it when I see it. The WBC has repeatedly given Chavez ultimatums to fight Martinez and that isn't gonna happen. Sturm will find a way out and continue dodging GolovkinComment by Mikhnienko on 03-24-2012
