Felix Diaz vs. Yuri Nuzhnenko Clash Being Called Off?

According to Boxnews.com.ua, a much anticipated showdown between 2008 Beijing Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz (8-0, 5 KOs) and former WBA welterweight champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs) is cancelled after Yuri’s manager Vadim Bukhkalov and Diaz’s promoter German Titov failed to reach an agreement regarding the conditions for the proposed match-up. Diaz, 27, will still perform at DIVS arena in Ekaterinburg, Russia, on March 26; and his new opponent being negotiated.

Diaz vs. Nuzhnenko fight was a part of a huge show, promoted by Art Pellulo, German Titov and Kirill Pchelnikov. The main event will see WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog (17-0, 14 KOs) in the initial defense of his title against Argentinean prospect Javier Francisco Maciel (18-1, 12 KOs).
