BoxingScene.com recently caught up with boxing manager Frank Espinoza and spoke to him about some of his fighters and their upcoming bouts. He talked about future dates for Oscar Valdez, Abner Mares, Ronny Rios, Antonio Orozco, Jesse Magdaleno and Vic Darchinyan.

BoxingScene.com: What's new with Jesse Magdaleno?

He's fighting April 11. He's an extremely hot prospect. Definitely has what it takes to be a future world champion. We'll also have a date for his brother Diego in the  next few days. He looked very impressive in his last outing.

BoxingScene.com: Oscar Valdez has also been very impressive. What's next for him?

He's still undefeated and still making waves. He's stepping up in competition against Dat Nguyen on the Manny Pacquaio vs Tim Bradley card this coming April 12th. Nguyen is very tough with a 17-3 record. Oscar has nine fights and he's up to the challenge.

BoxingScene.com: What's going on with Abner Mares?

Abner's been in the gym training hard. He's got that fire in his eyes. He's got that warrior spirit in him again. He wants to get back in the ring very badly. He's been offered a rematch against Jhonny Gonzalez for the end of May. Nothing's been decided yet but we'll have news soon.

BoxingScene.com: What about Ronny Rios?

Ronny is fighting Andrew Cancio in Chicago on April 14th. Should be a great fight. Cancio not an easy fight by any means for Ronny. this will be a stern test for him. If he wins, he moves on to the next level and something bigger.

BoxingScene.com: What's next for Antonio Orozco?

He's fighting April 26. He's learned  a lot since his last fight. He overcame some adversity and knocked out his opponent. He showed a lot of courage under fire which is a great character trait. We haven't seen the best of him yet.

BoxingScene.com: You also manage Vic Darchinyan. What do you have in store for him?

We're trying to get him a fight against "The Mexican Russian" Evgeny Gradovich. Vic still ahs a lot of fight in him. He's ready to go.

BoxingScene.com: What do you expect for 2014?

More forward movement and more exciting moments. More wins and an overall great year. Expect a lot of good things from us. 2014 will be our best year yet!
