Escobedo Says Adrien Broner Will Not Intimidate Him

By Ernest Gabion

Super featherweight contender Vicente Escobedo (26-3, 15KOs) has advised BoxingScene.com that he officially signed a contract to face WBO champion Adrien Broner (23-0, 19KOs) on July 21 in Cincinnati.

Escobedo guarantees that he won't be intimidated by Broner's mental tactics or his boxing abilities. He charges into the fight with a streak of wins over Juan Ruiz, Rocky Juarez, Walter Estrada and Lonnie Smith.

"We've been active. I've been ready. I've been staying in shape. I'm ready to take on the best and Adrien Broner is considered one of the best," Escobedo told BoxingScene.com.

"I'm going to go in there to fight. I'm going to put in a fight. I'm not scared of anybody. Lonnie Smith tried to do that, to [intimidate] me and look what happened. He ain't gonna scare me. I've been through tougher things than that."

[QUOTE=Longjab10;12208469]Agree with rudyyr, basically, it would be granite-chinned sluggers that can give Broner trouble. I want Broner to get this one, I want to see him take on bigger names, but if Escobedo can dictate this fight the way he…
