Four-division world title holder Erik Morales will likely return to the ring in December, he announced late Thursday night.
"En diciembre me subo al ring de nuevo ... (I'll be entering the ring in December)," Morales posted on his twitter page.
Morales (52-9, 36 KOs) has not fought since being stopped in the fourth round by Danny Garcia in October of last year. Morales has passed the last year campaigning for candidates seeking public office and making public appearances on both sides of the United States-Mexico border.
No word yet on an opponent or venue, but Morales has publicly stated he would like to fight once last time in his hometown of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
Morales' professional career would span almost 21 years should a fight go through in December.
Morales has lost three of his his last four fights.
