Four division world champion Erik Morales is not a critic of the upcoming catch-weight bout between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Amir Khan. The HBO Pay-Per-View fight was announced last Tuesday for May 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Morales does not blame Canelo, because the veteran says the Mexican superstar has very few options with most of the junior middleweights and middleweights being aligned with adviser Al Haymon, who does very little business with Golden Boy Promotions, who have Canelo.

The fight takes place at a catch-weight of 155-pounds with Khan moving up by eight pounds from the welterweight division.

Khan's biggest advantage in the fight is his speed, but Morales feels that won't be enough. He feels Khan will last no more than "three to four" rounds because of the physical disadvantage.

"It's a difficult fight as it is difficult to determine whether or not the speed of Khan will give Canelo any problems because [Canelo] isn't that fast," Morales told ESPN Deportes.

He feels Khan, who moved up to welterweight in 2014, is "not ready" to face someone as big as Canelo.

Morales also feels Khan has a "fragile" chin which won't be capable of withstanding the incoming combinations once Canelo finds his range.

"I don't see the fight going more than four rounds. Khan is long, difficult, but Canelo has the necessary tools to cut off the ring and exchange. After their first exchange of punches, Khan should feel the force and I don't see how he could last."

"He is a super lightweight who went to welterweight and he just got there. And now he's going to super welterweight, but on the night of the fight he's going to face a super middleweight."
