Eric Morel To Return on The Mares vs Agbeko II Card

By Rey Co;pm

Former world champion Eric Morel (45-2-0 23KO's) will reappear in the ring on December 3rd at the Honda Center in California. The card, promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, will be headlined by the bantamwieght rematch between IBF champion Abner Mares (22-0 -1 and 13KO's) and former king Joseph Agbeko (28-2, 22 KO's). The scheduled co-feature will match WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo Moreno (31-1-1, 11 KO's) and IBO king Vic Darchinyan (37-3-1 and 27KO's).

According to Morel's legal adviser, Gaby Pagarícano, Morel will face one of the big winners of the Showtime televised doubleheader in early 2012.

"Eric is going to fight in California on December 3 on the undercard of the Golden Boy Promotions [show]. They have big plans for him. He's done about four fights and now he's going to go for the title fights. Eric is on the agenda to fight in the first three months of 2012 against the winner of Mares-Agbeko or Darchinyan-Moreno. Those are great fights of interest to HBO and Showtime."

if this was 2000,2001 he would have a right to be on tv. he was legit coming out of the olympics and was a hell of a boxer at 112. but hes old man. barely got by over the hill…

he doesn't deserve a gift match like this and of the 4 fighting on the show I'd rate him favorite over only one...
