Eric Morel (46-3, 23 KO's), coming off last Saturday's unanimous decision loss to undefeated Abner Mares, who fought for the vacant WBC super bantamweight championship, has been offered a ring return on a date in August. Eric plans to return to 118 pounds, according to his coach and father Cyril.

"Although we lost, Golden Boy Promotions liked the show  and offered Eric a fight in August. And in that same month, Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno, the WBA bantamweight champion, will also fight. We will stay at 118 pounds and hope to get another title fight. Eric showed that he still has a lot of gas in the tank," Cyril said.
