2017 was a big year for Mayweather Promotions.  The Las Vegas based promotional outfit put on several shows in venues in Nevada, California, New York, and Washington DC.  They put on seven shows in Las Vegas alone.

With Floyd Mayweather retired again after his August knockout of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, the full focus of the company will again be to build more champions.

"We have 41 fight fighters now as opposed to a couple years ago when we might have only had 12 or 15 so that has been the biggest difference. Hats go off to my staff. I have a wonder stand and they keep things in order.  They keep these shows rolling. It is a great position to be in. We put on great events every time that we go out. The fans are loving the fights and they are great for TV," Ellerbe told BoxingScene.com.

According to Ellerbe next year will be the biggest year ever for the company. They plan on signing more prospects and are confident that their current roster of prospects and contenders will continue to progress.

Three of their top fighters, former two-divison champion Badou Jack, unbeaten former super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis, and 168 pound contender Ronald Gavril are expected back in action in the first quarter of 2018.

"We are constantly growing and '18 will be our best year to date. I have my eye, me and Floyd, on some outstanding young talent that is going to soon be signed to Mayweather Promotions and it is going to be a very good year. Badou is going to have a big event coming up at the top of the year - Gervonta, Ronald, those are the guys who are at the forefront of Mayweather Promotions and we are just excited about 2018," said Ellerbe.
