YASSINE EL MAACHI has got both Kell Brook and Matthew Hatton in his sights after claiming the latest Prizefighter welterweight tournament.

Yassine El Maachi, 31, beat former world champion Junior Witter in the final at York Hall on Tuesday night.

After winning his last 13 bouts, and picking up his £36,000 Prizefighter cheque, he is up for challenging unbeaten British champ Brook and European king Hatton.

“I want to fight the best in the country and the best in Europe,” he said.

“No-one wants to fight me, but now I’ve won this they cannot hide and I’ll face anyone. A lot of people have seen what I can do and now those guys who avoided me will have to fight me.

“I got tired of chasing people, I’ve been doing that for so long now, but I will not have to do it anymore and I will take anyone on.”

Brook faces a tough battle against Australian Lovemore N’dou in Sheffield on June 25 as he tries to maintain his charge towards a world title.

Meanwhile, Hatton is taking stock after failing in his bid for Mexican Saul Alvarez’s WBC light-welterweight belt in March.

Kell Brook better not fight him. He must be the only established British fighter not to fight anyone of note. N'Dou is his biggest test but he is very old.
