Edgar Sosa Says Third Time's The Charm With Solis

By Miguel Rivera

Between the two of them, they have fought in 27 world title fights and fought twice in the past - with decision victories coming down for Ulises "Archie" Solis in both matches. But a trilogy bout has been scheduled for March 9 in Mexico. The WBC has confirmed the match as a final flyweight eliminator.

Sosa (47-7, 28 KOs) was beaten by Solis (35-3-2, 22 KOs) in 2001 and 2003.

"We're having an excellent preparation and we will be well prepared for the confrontation with Archie. I know that the opponent is one of the best and fought good challengers. I'm the number one flyweight [under the WBC] and I'm risking that position. I will arrive with every desire to defeat Archie. We're fine physically, and getting in the best condition," Sosa said.

"It will be a great fight with our two styles. He's a smart fighter but I'll retaliate when necessary and I have to be very attentive from the start."
