Edgar Sosa Decisions Giovani Segura Over Twelve

Plaza de Toros Eloy Cavazos, Zitacuaro, Michoac√°n de Ocampo, Mexico - In a battle for the WBC silver flyweight championship between two Mexican veterans, Edgar Sosa (49-7, 29KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Giovani Segura (29-3-1, 25KOs). The scores were 115-112, 116-112 and 114-113. Sosa was the better boxer and controlled the action. He survived some tough moments when Segura, who lost a point in the ninth for a low blow, tried to come on with hard punches. Segura now losing two of his last three fights.

What a great fight this was! I've been wanting to see this fight betwwen these two for about three years now and I'm glad they finally fought!!! It seemed like Sosa was on his way out in the mid rounds…
