Super featherweight Alejandro Perez knocked Edgar Riovalle out in the seventh round of a scheduled 10 round bout before an overflow crowd at the Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, CA.
Perez (18-3-1, 12 KOs) was in control during most of the action, beating Riovalle to the punch.
Riovalle (35-15-2, 25 KOs) had a few moments, landing an occasional hook or cross to the head of Perez.
However, Perez began to dig to the body more consistently midway through the fight.
In the seventh round, a well-placed left hook to the body dropped Riovalle to the canvas. Riovalle struggled to get up as referee Dr. Lou Moret counted him out at 1:14.

McCumby (12-0, 10 KOs) backed Rodriguez up against the ropes, where he threw a series of punches. A few punches connected onto Rodriguez, prompting him to sit on the bottom rope. McCumby followed up, throwing and landing two more punches, prompting referee Wayne Hedgepeth to step in at 29 seconds
Featherweight Pablo Duran (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a first round technical knockout over Anthony Briones. The taller Duran dropped Briones face first with an accumulation of punches to the head. When Briones (0-2) made no effort to get up, referee Wayne Hedgepeth waves the fight over at 2:06.
Featherweight Saul Rodriguez stopped Dominic Coca after the third round of a six round bout.
Coca started well in the opening round, going to the body. Rodriguez looked for openings, trying at times to load up on one punch.
As the bout progressed, Rodriguez began letting his hands go more. Coca at times would be on the defensive, backing up at times.
Halfway through the third round, Rodriguez (10-0-1, 7 KOs) hurt Coca with a right hand. Coca went on the defensive, holding on to Rodriguez on the inside. Rodriguez continued to land punches flush onto Coca (8-4, 2 KOs), but was not able to drop him to the canvas until the bell sounded.
After the round ended, Coca's corner advised referee Jerry Cantu that their fighter was unable to continue, thus declaring Rodriguez the winner.
Former world title holder Takahiro Ao scored a spectacular one-punch knockout over Hardy Paredes (16-12, 10 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled 10 round bout. After a feeling out opening round, Ao (24-3-1, 11 KOs) dropped Paredes with a right hook to the head in second round. Paredes got up and tried to fight back. Even though Shabransky (9-2-1, 4 KOs) was busier, he did not always connect with his punches. Morgan came on in the fifth round as Shabransky slowed down. However, Morgan gassed in the final round, allowing for Shabransky to land at will. All three judges scored the bout in favor of Shabransky, 60-54, 60-54, and 59-55.
