Ukrainian Timur Akhundov (15-2-1, 5 KOs) produced one of his finest performances and grabbed a vacant World Boxing Federation featherweight title with an exhibition of boxing skills and masteryagainst tough Chechen import Havazhy Hatsygov (10-2, 6 KOs).

Hatsygov, a former amateur standout, pressed taller Akhundov all the time but was ineffective missing much and tagging only air. Akhundov effectively outpointed his foe with his jab and effective counterpunching. Scores were 117-111, 117-112 and 119-109 - in his favour.

Only 20, but coming back after two years of inactivity, light welterweight marvel Daniyar Hanyk (10-0, 4 KOs), who is the youngest ever ex-Soviet fighter to make a pro debut at 16 years and 11 days in 2009, easily outboxed Vladimir Harabuga (0-3) over ten soft rounds. Hanyk was unable to knock his durable foe out but looked convincing in shaking off his ring rust. All three judges had it unanimously for the youngster: 100-89, 100-90 and 99-91. Hanyk acquired a vacant UBA I/C title.
