Buffalo Run Casino, Miami, Oklahoma - Junior middleweight contender Carlos Molina (20-5-2, 6KOs) outworked Damian Frias (19-5-1, 10KOs) over ten rounds to win a unanimous decision. Molina was too busy, controlled the action and pushed Frias back all night long. All three judges saw it 100-90.
Donovan George didn’t just take the fight that nobody else wanted; he jumped at the chance to face Adonis Stevenson. George is still willing to take the fight that nobody else wants, even if it means waiting until at least October for it to once again materialize. But anyone who thought the Chicagoland fighter was going to sit around and idly wait for that fight to happen just doesn’t know Donovan George very well.
Colombian Dionisio Miranda (21-7-2, 18 K0s) will step in to face Chicago's Don "Da Bomb" George (22-2-1, 19 KOs) in the 10-round super middleweight co-main event of the ESPN Friday Night Fights 2012 series finale (10 PM Eastern on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN3) presented by Warriors Boxing and Tony Holden Productions, scheduled for Friday, August 17, at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma.
