Donnie Nietes Batters Moises Fuentes For TKO in Nine

By Miguel Rivera

Last March they fought to a twelve round draw that could have went either way, but the rematch left no doubt. At the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Donnie Nietes (33-1-4, 19KOs) retaining the WBO junior flyweight title after scoring three knockdowns on Moises Fuentes (19-2-1, 10KOs) for a TKO in the ninth round. This time around, Nietes was landing the more accurate punches, he was targeting the body for most of the fight and that's how Fuentes eventually crumbled in the ninth - an accumulation of punishment from hard hooks to the body.
Didn't see it but good win. Even tho I never thought Fuentes was that good. Just a taller guy fighting in a smaller division. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for Android
nietes is 5'3" and fuentes is 5'6" :boxing:
You obviously don't know Nonito Donaire. Sike. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for Android
Yeah, Donaire isn't a world champion anymore so he has to be ranked below Nietes.
